I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight
A few months after my wife died, I decided I needed something to do at least a couple of evenings a week. Evenings always seemed lonely with just me and the dog in a big, empty house. After considering my options, I decided to volunteer at the local community concert venue.
How It Began
Almost drunk and a little high, I was lying across the smooth back seat of my boyfriend’s borrowed white Caprice Classic. My body relaxed, I let my eyes lose focus, surrendering to the symphony of road sounds reverberating through the soft leather. It was raining very lightly–enough for the water to have a voice in the chorus.
A Fitting to Remember
I remember it like it was yesterday. My wife’s best friend from college had reached out to her and asked her to be the Maid of Honor in her wedding. This was her third wedding, but the two of them had been together for 3 years, so none of us doubted the union.
The Birthday Present
My name is Maria and I’m 38 years old. I’ve been dating my boyfriend Jose for a year now. On our first date, he told me he was a single dad of an 18 year old son.
Said the Anus to the Cock
“Hey, stop pushing against me!. What the hell do you think you’re doing???”, said the anus to the cock. “I’m trying to get inside, so I can fuck you, that’s what! So let me in already, damn it!!!” “NO WAY!!!!!” “You might as well give in, I’m a lot stronger than you — so just relax and let it happen. […]
Don’t Look Back
Rushing from the ensuite to their bedroom, Sofia hollered to her husband, “Have you seen my brush, Alex?” “What brush?” Alex answered her with a question of his own. He looked down at his phone, reflexively as it buzzed with a new message. The Lyft driver. Again. He decided not to mention the car was waiting. He’d already reminded her […]
A Sordid Arrangement
They had been sitting on the green bench by the lake for over an hour now, and almost all of that she had spent patiently listening to her boyfriend, Peter Follett, complain about his university dormitory roommate. What had begun as a pleasant walk across campus, both of them looking to enjoy an unusually warm October day (unusual as far […]
Paladin
The horsemen charged forward. Their large numbers easily cleaving through any obstacle that stood in their way. The grass wilting under their feet. Pale horses knew no fear as they galloped onwards, guided by their riders’ lashes. Finally, the horsemen were close enough for him to tell who or what they were.
Puppy Love
The doorbell chimed. Bluebonnet the Baker gulped. She had so, so desperately hoped the woman outside the window would keep walking. So eagerly prayed that the woman would think the bakery was closed, or was looking for a different shop, a different home, a different target.
Poker Night: All In
“Are you sure about this?” I asked Phil, not looking away from my reflection in the mirror. “Of course, love,” he answered, stepping up behind me and staring over my shoulder to meet my eyes through my reflection. “You look great.” “Not that,” I said, running my hands down the red dress that he’d helped me pick out. He was […]
