Summer Surprise, Part 3 – Disaster
Things were going pretty smoothly for everyone until a Monday in mid-April. Matt and Dianne came home from class to find Chloe crying piteously on the floor.
“Chloe, what’s wrong?”
“They killed her, Matt! They killed her!”
“Who’s they and who’s her?” Dianne asked.
“Monica! They killed her!”
“Monica is dead?” Matt asked, shocked. “Who killed her?”
“Haters! The haters killed her.” Chloe descended into gut-wrenching sobs, so hard she couldn’t speak.
Matt picked her up and carried her into her bedroom. Dianne got some washcloths to use as cold compresses. When she got back, Chloe was curled up in a little ball, still bawling her eyes out. Matt had his arms around her trying to comfort her. Dianne folded one after wringing it out and putting it on her forehead.
When her crying had died down a little, Dianne asked, “What happened, Chloe?”
“Monica was at an LGBTQ rally she helped organize at the U of W in Madison. They do them at the colleges when the students are there instead of June when they hold most of the Gay Pride stuff. Some asshole plowed into the crowd with a big ass pickup, killing over a dozen people and wounding dozens more. Then he started shooting, trying to kill as many people as he could before the police killed him. She died alone, Matt. I wasn’t there with her when she died. I was working on my next play. She died alone. Why can’t people leave us alone? What did we ever do to them?”
Dianne and Matt started crying as well. They’d come to know Monica well over the past several months and she had become a substantial part of their lives.
“How did you find out, Chloe?” Dianne asked.
“She had a card in her pocket asking that I be contacted if anything happened to her. The police found it and called me.”
“Do her parents know? Do yours?”
“I’m reasonably certain the police called her parents before they called me, but I haven’t talked to anyone. How am I going to live, Matt? How can I go on? Monica meant everything to me. All I see is a fucking hole so deep and black I’ll never be able to crawl out of it.”
“I don’t know, Chloe,” Dianne said, “but somehow you do go on. As time passes you feel a little less horrible every day. Then one day you realize that your pain has eased a little. You come to an understanding that you have survived and you’re not going to die, no matter how much you may have wanted to.”
Chloe started crying again, body-wracking sobs. “Dianne, call my family and Chloe’s. They’ll want to know,” Matt said.
“I don’t have the Hamilton’s phone number.”
“Use my phone. It’s in there.”
Dianne nodded. She got Matt’s phone and started making phone calls. She phoned Chloe’s family first. They hadn’t heard anything and were devastated to hear Monica was dead.
“Oh, no,” her mother said. “How is Chloe taking it?”
“She feels like she’s going to die, or wants to. We are all devastated.”
“We’ll be there as soon as we can.”
“Thank you. She’ll need as much support as she can get.”
“Thanks for calling us.”
Chloe’s parents lived in Manitowoc, clear on the opposite side of Wisconsin, so it would be several hours before they arrived, even with the best of driving conditions.
Dianne called Georgina next. Since she was using Matt’s phone, Georgina answered, “Matt, did you hear what happened in Madison? Some idiot plowed into a crowd of gay supporters. It’s all over the news.”
“Georgina, this is Dianne. Monica was at that rally. She was killed.”
Silence, then “Oh, no! Poor Chloe. How devastating for her. We’ll all be there as soon as possible, even Ethel, but it may take awhile because Elaine and I are both scheduled to work tonight and we’ll need to find replacements. I can’t believe this happened.”
“Thanks, Mrs. Sanders. I know Chloe will appreciate it. Matt and I will too. We were all close to Monica.”
Until people showed up, there was nothing more to do, so Dianne went back into the bedroom. She curled around Chloe, on the opposite side of Matt, cocooning her in loving arms. About two and a half hours after the phone call, there was a knock on the door.
“It’s probably your family, Matt. I’ll get the door.”
When Dianne opened the door, she didn’t recognize the people standing there.
“Hello, you must be Dianne. Where’s Chloe?”
“Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton?” Dianne queried, quasi-recognizing the voice from the phone call earlier.
“Yes, I’m Mary Jane Hamilton. A lot of my friends call me MJ. This is my husband, Ben. I’m sorry we’re not meeting under better circumstances.”
“How did you get here so fast?”
“About ten minutes after you called, we got a call from a woman named Ethel. She told us to go to the Manitowoc civil field and there would be a helicopter waiting to take us here, plus a rental car and motel room on this end. I thought it was a cruel joke at first, but she said she was a friend of Matt’s mother. We took a chance it wasn’t a joke and here we are. I have no clue why she did this for us.”
“As she said, she’s a friend of Matt’s mother. She’ll be arriving shortly too, and you can meet her. Chloe is in her bedroom. Matt’s in there with her.”
Dianne followed them into the bedroom, where Matt was holding Chloe, still tightly coiled in the fetal position.
He looked up as they entered and said, “Chloe, your parents are here. I’m going to leave you with them for awhile.””
Chloe opened her eyes, saw them, and started crying again as she reached for her mother.
“Oh, mom. They killed her, mom. They killed my Monica. What am I going to do?”
Matt got up and Mary Jane took his place, enveloping her daughter in a motherly embrace.
“Hi, son,” Ben said. “Let’s give them a moment alone. I’d just be in the way for the moment.” They stepped out of the room. “Thank you for being there for Chloe. You’ve always been there for her.”
“She’s always been there for me too, sir. It’s mutual. This is my girlfriend and Chloe’s roommate, Dianne. We’re all devastated by Monica’s death. We considered her part of the family.”
“I’m pleased to meet you, Dianne. Ben Hamilton. Chloe’s told us so many good things about you. I wish we’d met you before. This is a piss poor way to make your acquaintance.”
“You too, sir.”
“Please don’t call me sir, Ben is fine. I’m so glad Matt found someone nice to date because he was the first young man Chloe brought home that didn’t make me cringe. For a time, I even thought he was going to be my son-in-law, until Chloe discovered her sexual identity. He’s a stand-up guy for remaining such good friends with my daughter after what she did. I wish we’d been better parents, but at least she had friends like you and Matt to get her through it.”
“You’re a better parent now, Ben,” Dianne said. “It means a lot to Chloe for you to come. I know it does.”
Ben started crying and Dianne pulled him into an embrace, gently patting his back. “I’m so sorry, Ben.”
“Monica was so fucking nice. Chloe lit up around her. I finally got it, you know. How some people are just right for you, no matter who they are.”
Ben sobbed quietly for a few minutes, then wiped his eyes. “I have to be strong, you know, for Chloe. She’ll need someone to cling to.”
“I don’t think she’ll mind you’re unhappy too, Ben. I think she’ll appreciate you loved Monica enough to feel pain,” Dianne said. “It’s nice to know you’re not the only person who suffered a loss. Knowing how badly my husband’s parents felt after his death helped me get through it. I knew I needed to be strong for them. If not for that, I might have gone to pieces.”
He nodded and went into the bedroom with his wife and daughter.
Dianne and Matt sat on the couch, just holding hands. There was another knock on the door a half-hour later.
“That’s got to be your family, Matt. I’ll get it.”
“We’ll get it together,” Matt said. “I can’t sit anymore.”
They stood up and answered the door. As soon as they opened it, Matt’s family and Ethel came flooding in. A round of hugging and crying amongst everyone ensued.
“Did Chloe’s parents make it okay,” Ethel asked.
“They did. They’re in with Chloe now,” Matt said. “Thanks so much for your help.”
“It was nothing. What’s money for if you don’t do something good with it. Georgina and I are going to start cooking comfort foods. We’ve got a couple bags of groceries out in the car. If you could help bring them in, Matt, that would be fantastic. Elaine and Dianne, you must know where everything is. If you could show us where the pots and pans are, we’ll go ahead and get started.”
Matt went out to the car and got two grocery sacks filled with food from the Festival Foods store. He brought them inside and noted that there were a number of pots and pans already out. He emptied the bags out on the counter and Georgina and Ethel started mixing stuff together.
“A nice stew, some lasagna, some chili for later, and brownies with vanilla ice cream,” Georgina said. “We need to find out from Monica’s parents what the funeral arrangements are going to be, including where the funeral going to be held. One of you should talk to them. Do we even know if they know about Monica yet?”
“Chloe thought the police had notified them,” Dianne said.
“That’s some shitty news to be delivered by strangers. Where do they live?”
“Milwaukee,” Matt said. “But if they know, they’re likely in Madison by now.”
“You’re probably right. Maybe we should have delayed a bit before coming. At the very least, they’ll probably need to get some clothes from here, maybe some of Monica’s other things, jewelry and such. Do we know how badly Monica’s body was injured? Will it be an open casket or closed casket ceremony?”
“I don’t know anything except that she’s dead,” Matt said. “I don’t know what Chloe was told when the police called her. I’ll have to get Chloe’s phone because I don’t know how to contact them.”
“Go ahead and grab it. She won’t want to talk to anyone for awhile anyway and you should probably start making some other calls. Monica and Chloe had other friends who should be notified. This is a sad business, but things need to be done.”
“Chloe’s new show was supposed to start in two weeks,” Dianne said. “I’d imagine she’s not going to be able to do it now. We might want to notify the Community Theater.”
“Don’t cancel it yet,” Ethel said. “That should be Chloe’s decision, but let the theater know it might affect her ability to go on.”
“I heard the University is planning a memorial service for the dead, in a week, at Camp Randall Stadium,” Elaine said. “Chloe will probably want to attend that.”
“They might do one here too,” Matt said. “Monica went to school here. They might not even know Monica is dead yet.”
“I can’t believe anyone would do what that person did,” Beth said. “I heard some of the people killed weren’t even LGBTQ affiliated; they were just there to support friends or family who were. For goodness sakes, there was even a baby killed. Who would be so angry and why?”
“I don’t know. It seems like hate groups are getting more and more violent,” Ethel said. “And not just hate groups. Even the crazies are becoming more violent. For example, that guy who did the mass shooting in Las Vegas. Las Vegas was not the only venue he checked out before shooting there. It seems he just wanted to kill a whole bunch of people for no reason.”
“I’ll start making some calls,” Matt said. “I’ll get Chloe’s phone, ask her if there’s anyone special she wants notified.”
Matt went back to Chloe’s room. “When you’re ready, my family would like to see you, Chloe. Plus I need to talk to Monica’s parents and other people, so I’ll need your phone to make the calls. Is there anyone you think should be notified from around here?”
Chloe gave him seven names. “Tell your family thanks for coming. I’ll be out there in a little while.”
“I’ll call the Dean’s office and let them know about Monica, and we thought we’d call the Community Theater, too.”
“I suppose. I can’t see myself doing the show anymore. The reason I didn’t go with Monica was to study my lines for the damn show. I should have been there with her. She shouldn’t have died alone.”
Ben said, “It may be horrible of me to say so, Chloe, but I’m happy you weren’t. I think you’ve got a lot to give the world yet, and I’d have hated to see your life snuffed out so young.”
“I agree Chloe,” Matt said. “As bad as losing Monica was, losing you both would have been a hundred times worse.”
Matt got her phone and left her with her parents again. He started by calling Monica’s parents. Monica’s father answered the phone. His voice sounded like gravel rubbing together.
“Mr. Franklin, this is Chloe’s friend, Matt. I wanted to tell you how sorry we are about what happened and what a huge loss Monica’s death is to all of us. She was an incredible person we all loved deeply. Chloe is especially inconsolable, sir, she keeps saying she wants to die too.”
“Thanks for calling Matt.”
“You’re welcome, sir. I also wanted to find out about her services. We’d all like to be there.”
“I don’t know anything yet. The police haven’t released her body, and we don’t know when they will.”
“Are you still in Madison, Mr. Franklin?”
“Yes. We got here about two hours ago. I had to identify her body. Matt, you can’t believe what that madman did to her.” He started crying again.
Matt waited for him to regain his composure. While he waited, Ethel asked if they were in Madison. Matt nodded.
“Tell them as long as they need to remain in Madison, they can stay at my house. I’ll let the maid know to set up the guest house for them and bring in food. Here’s the address and phone number.” She quickly wrote down her address and phone number, handing it to Matt. “Anything they need, let me know.”
Georgina hugged Ethel, then gave her a quick kiss.
When Mr. Franklin was coherent again, Matt said, “A friend of my Mom has a house in Madison where you can stay as long as you need. The guest house will be waiting for you. Anytime you’re ready, I’ll give you the address and phone number. Also, please let us know when you’ve had a chance to make arrangements.”
“Give me a second. Tell your friend thanks. I feel useless right now.”
About a half minute later, he said he was ready, so Matt gave him the address and phone number. Ethel was already on the phone with her staff making arrangements.
“We’ll talk to you later, Mr. Franklin. Again, our deepest sympathies for your loss,” Matt said.
Matt finished up by making calls to all of the people Chloe had asked him to call, including the Dean’s office and the Community Theater.
“Do you know for sure Ms. Rogers won’t be doing the show?” the theater manager asked.
“Not for sure. Right now, she’s out of sorts, doesn’t know what she can or can’t do. I think she’ll have it figured out in a couple days.”
“Please let her know we’re sorry for her loss. She’s extremely talented. We’ll miss her if she can’t perform.”
“I’ll tell her.”
Some of the other people Chloe had asked to be notified began showing up, friends of either Chloe or Monica or both. A couple he recognized included Erin, the first person he’d dated after Elaine.
When Matt introduced Dianne, she said, “No wonder I never had a chance with you.”
“It wasn’t you, I swear, you seemed like a pretty nice person from what I can remember. My head just wasn’t on straight. I’m afraid I was so out of it I don’t actually recall much of our conversations.”
“That’s because there wasn’t much conversation to recall. No worries, Chloe warned me, said you might not be ready yet. Hi, Dianne, my name is Erin.”
“Matt didn’t say much about the others he dated, but I think he said you’re in the theater with Chloe?”
“I’m surprised he remembered that much,” Erin laughed. “Matt was pretty much a lump of seaweed. I’m glad someone managed to yank him out of the doldrums. Yes, I work in costume design and set decoration. I was scheduled to be one of the bridesmaids for Chloe’s and Monica’s wedding.”
“Were they going to have best man,” Dianne asked, “or twice the bridesmaids?”
“Chloe hadn’t said anything yet, but she was going to have Matt be best man. It’s not like he needed to be fitted for a dress, so she was keeping it secret for a short while longer.”
“Erin, let me introduce you to the rest of my family,” Matt said, suddenly sad all over again, knowing again how huge Chloe’s loss was. He took her hand and walked over to his family. “This is my mother, Georgina, her partner, Ethel, and my sisters, Elaine and Beth. Everyone, this is Erin, Chloe’s friend and one of the bridesmaids scheduled for her wedding.”
They drew her in and made her feel welcome. Around five, Chloe came out of her room accompanied by her parents. She’d made an attempt to clean up, but her eyes were puffy and red from crying. She tearfully hugged and greeted everyone who’d come before having food thrust on her by Georgina as she sat down on the couch, too exhausted to continue standing.
“I can’t believe Monica is now nothing more than another anti-gay statistic,” Chloe said, tearing up again.
“Didn’t you say that statistics don’t change people’s minds, Chloe?” Dianne asked. “You told Monica you have to make it personal. So it seems to me that you need to make what happened to Monica personal, so everyone who didn’t know her, knows her; who she was, what she was, and what she stood for. Everyone who died today. It has to be personal.”
“Dianne is right, Chloe. Everyone should bleed the way you’re bleeding now. Otherwise, things will never change,” Matt said.
Chloe suddenly stopped crying and instead started thinking. Where her mind was going, no one knew.
“They’ve posted video online from the rally this morning,” Beth said. “It’s hitting the major news networks. It’s horrible.”
“I want to see,” Chloe said.
“I don’t think you should, Chloe. It’s dreadful and appalling. It will make you sick,” Beth said.
“No. I need to see it. I need to see what happened to my Monica, what they did to her. Give me your phone.”
Beth reluctantly handed Chloe her phone. Dianne and Matt held her as she watched the large truck careen through the huge crowd, people scrambling to get out of the way. They gasped with her as the man jumped out of the truck after crashing it into the stage and opened fire with a handgun, changing clips twice, before he was killed himself. Chloe watched it twice, choking back sobs, before handing the phone back.
“People will bleed,” she said, “but I’m going to need the help of everyone here and then some.”
“What do you need?” Matt asked.
“We’ll need the names of everyone killed or injured today and everything else we can find out about them, including why they were there, even if we need to speak to their families or friends.”
“It will probably take a day or two before they release the names of everyone because of family notifications,” Matt said, “but we’ll do all we can.”
“Great. The world is going to know their names. Monica will not be forgotten.”

Later that evening, Matt’s and Chloe’s families left to spend the night in a motel paid for by Ethel. The plan was for them to return the following day. After everyone left, Chloe retired to her bedroom exhausted and grief stricken. Matt and Dianne straightened up the apartment and then went to bed shortly thereafter, making love in order to get something good from an otherwise wretched day. Just before they were about to go to sleep, Chloe knocked on their door.
“What is it?” Matt asked.
“It’s Chloe. Can I spend the night with you? I don’t want to be alone.”
“Of course. Give us a minute to put something on.”
“Don’t bother. I’ve seen both of you naked and I’m not wearing anything either. I just need some skin on skin contact.”
“Then give us a minute to talk about this.”
“Okay.”
“Dianne, what do you think?” Matt whispered.
“I can understand the impulse,” Dianne replied. “It’s part of the reason we just had sex. To feel alive. I don’t particularly care if that’s all she wants.”
“It’s going to put a damper on a morning repeat.”
“I’d give that up to help Chloe.”
“Where does she sleep? Next to you, next to me?”
“Right in between us, the way we did before.”
“Let’s leave the light off anyway.”
“If she can make it here without stumbling in the dark.”
Matt raised his voice. “Come on in Chloe. Do you need a light?”
“No.”
Chloe opened the door, silhouetted briefly in the moonlight coming in from the windows, before the room went black. Dianne felt her presence on her side of the bed. She drew down the covers on her side.
“Get in between us, Chloe, so we can both hug you,” Dianne whispered.
“Thanks for letting me join you.”
“You’re welcome.”
Chloe climbed in between them and curled up. Enveloping Chloe in their arms, they cuddled around her and pulled the sheets up to cover them all. Chloe sobbed softly until the comfort of her friends allowed her to fall into a fitful sleep.
******
Matt woke up with morning wood, which was comfortably ensconced between Chloe’s butt cheeks, although he almost forgot they were hers and not Dianne’s. Fortunately, he stopped himself before his dick took advantage of its current position without thinking. He got up to relieve himself. When he came back to bed, there was enough morning light coming through the drapes to see Chloe curled around Dianne. Looking at the two naked women sleeping there caused his cock to stir, so he put on underwear before climbing into bed again. It didn’t keep his erection from redeveloping, but at least it kept a layer of cloth between him and Chloe. He curled around her again.
“Men,” Chloe whispered, “can’t live with them because they just can’t keep their erections from poking you in the backside in the morning.”
“Very true. You nearly got a shocking surprise this morning when I woke up erect and almost forgot it was your backside my dick was pressed up against. It’s the reason I put on underwear.”
“I appreciate your discretion. I’m sure Dianne does too.”
“What’s with all the racket?” Dianne asked, sleepily.
“Matt waking up with his usual morning wood is what’s causing the racket.”
“Didn’t he just get up to pee? That usually takes care of it.”
“There’s enough light in the room so that I could see you cuddled together, which had the opposite effect of peeing.”
“Mmmm. Too bad we have a guest. What is it about men watching women?” Dianne asked. She turned around to face Chloe.
“Maybe they wish they were lesbians too,” Chloe said.
Dianne chuckled. She kissed Chloe softly on the lips. “I’d almost say we should give him a show, but I have no experience with women whatsoever. I’m afraid I wouldn’t do much for you.”
“It’s too soon anyway, but I thank you for the gesture. I can’t sleep anymore so I’ll leave you two to it.”
Chloe got up, did a 360 degree twirl in the doorway, before closing the door and heading back to her room.
“You were joking, right?”
Dianne smiled mysteriously. “Wouldn’t you like to know.”
She got up to use the bathroom. “We should get up too. People will be arriving soon.”
“What about this?” Matt pointed to his erection.
“You can’t tell me you don’t have lots of experience taking care of that on your own.” She disappeared into the bathroom.
“Shit!” Matt exclaimed. He almost got up but thought better of it and pulled his underwear down instead.
“I’m using my left hand,” he shouted.
“Use any hand you want, honey,” Dianne called back. “It’s been long enough you probably need the practice.”
Matt laughed. “Fuck.” He started stroking.

People started showing up at eight. Beth, Matt, Chloe, Elaine, and Dianne all decided to skip classes. Additionally, Georgina and Elaine both took another day off from work. Everyone quickly started to work on Chloe’s plan.
Chloe was on fire. She called up the Community Theater and told them her play was changing. When she told them what she wanted to do, they said they didn’t think they could afford to do what she wanted.
“It would give up a lot of the paying seats,” the manager said.
“I’ll give up my pay. This is very important to me. My fiancée was killed.”
“I understand. I’m perfectly willing to give up ten seats or even fifteen, but you know how many were killed and wounded. Half of the theater would be non-paying seats. Plus, how many people will come to a tribute show for people they don’t even know. We barely get by as it is.”
“It costs practically nothing to put on. You need a light guy, a ticket guy, someone in concessions, and a few ushers, and that’s it.”
“Plus electricity, air conditioning, and parking. You’ve been profitable for us, Chloe, filling what’s essentially been dead space for us, but it would be cheaper to leave the theater empty for those two weeks. We run on a shoestring budget. You know how it is.”
“Fuck!” Chloe said when she hung up the phone.
“Didn’t go well?” Ethel asked.
“It went fucking nowhere.”
“Call him back,” Ethel said.
“He was pretty adamant,” Chloe said. “I don’t think he’s changing his mind.
“You don’t know how persuasive I am. Give me the phone after you make the call.”
Chloe dialed the number and handed the phone to Ethel.
“Hello, my name is Ethel Thornhill and I’d like to speak to the manager please. I’ll hold.”
She waited for fifteen seconds before speaking again.
“Yes, I’d like you to put on Chloe Hamilton’s play and don’t bother telling me you can’t afford it. I shall pay full price for every seat that isn’t filled by a paying customer for the entire two week run. There are only two occasions which may conflict with the scheduled performances, Chloe’s fiancée’s funeral and the memorial in Madison for all the slain. If any scheduling conflict arises regarding those events, you may shutter the theater on those two nights.” She waited a few more seconds. “Of course I have the money. Would you like me to prove it by buying up the mortgage on your loan note at the bank and foreclosing?” Another few seconds. “Thank you. You’ve made a wise decision.”
Ethel handed the phone back to Chloe. “Rich people don’t like to fuck around.” Everyone laughed.
“Remind me to never piss you off, honey,” Georgina said. She was making breakfast for everyone with the help of her two daughters.
“Consider yourself reminded,” responded Ethel.
Chloe wrapped her arms around Ethel and gave her a huge hug. “I don’t know how to thank you.”
“Thank me by putting on a bang up show.”
Everyone ate a quick breakfast and then gathered together to scour the different media outlets who had just begun to release victim information. Once a comprehensive list of victims was established, each person took several names and delved deep into the victims lives hunting for enough family information to make an effort to contact them.
“Don’t forget to check for FaceBook and Instagram accounts,” Beth said. “You can find a lot of stuff on there. Dianne taught me that. Seems more than friends care what you put on there.”
Soon, ten people were cobbling together as much information as they could gather, including Erin and another close friend of Chloe’s, Barbara.
******
Later in the day, Ethel returned to Madison with Georgina, Beth, Elaine, Chloe and Chloe’s parents to handle a multitude of tasks. They had scheduled meetings with injured survivors in several hospitals who had agreed to meet with them. They had also arranged to meet up with others who’d been at the rally including some of the organizers Monica had worked with, to gather more names. Additionally, they had boxed up a lot of Monica’s things. Some of it was going to her parents and a few things Chloe would be keeping, mainly photos and some personal items. They still didn’t know if Monica would have an open or closed casket so they intended to provide something she could be buried in other than what she’d died in, which was a bloody mess.
Ethel had her own agenda. She went home and met with Monica’s parents, who were staying at her guest house.
“Hello, I’m Ethel Thornhill. I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about the loss of your daughter. I met her five or six times and I found her to be intelligent, warm, and loving. In addition, she was doing a marvelous job helping the world understand the plight of lesbians, gays, and transgender people. I’m about ready to come out as a lesbian myself and your daughter helped prepare me for that, for which I’ll be forever grateful. Have you been told when they’ll release Monica’s body?”
“Tomorrow.”
“Will you be having the funeral in Milwaukee?”
“Yes. We have a family plot there. I don’t know how to thank you for all of this.”
“I don’t know how to thank you for bringing your daughter into this world, so I suppose we’re both at a loss for words. I understand they’re planning a memorial service at Camp Randall stadium for the people who died. Do you know if you can be here for that? I can tell you Chloe is planning something pretty special for the Memorial. She and some friends want to make it memorable.”
“I suppose it depends on when they hold it. We’ll probably hold services on Saturday.”
“I believe it’s going to be Monday, but I’ll be making some calls to confirm. If you come, you’re welcome to stay here again. Chloe and her family will be staying up at the main house. You can meet everyone who loved Monica. She’s had a big impact on a lot of lives.”
“Thank you, Ethel,” Mrs. Franklin said.
“Here’s a card for my business manager. Call him if you need anything at all from me. He can arrange transportation if you don’t feel up to driving, or anything else. I want to help all I can. Chloe is in town making arrangements. She’s extremely busy at the moment, but would like to see you tonight around nine. She wants to tell you what she has planned to pay homage to Monica.”
“We’d love to see her.”
Ethel hugged both of them and left.
Next, Ethel made contact with the Governor, the President of Wisconsin-Madison, and the Board of Regents, plus a couple of the larger TV stations to make plans. Money talks and not only did Ethel have it, her brother had even more. People were going to listen.
Chloe, spent the day interviewing people and organizing all the stories they were acquiring, crafting them into something the world would listen to. She received regular updates from everyone else in the form of e-mails, which she categorized by victim. By nine, Chloe was exhausted, having spent most of the day running around constantly.
Despite her exhaustion, she still insisted on going to see Monica’s parents before she would go to bed. She knocked on the door of the guest house and was greeted by Cassie Franklin. Chloe stepped into her arms, who was an older version of Monica, and both women began crying inconsolably. Cassandra was overcome by seeing her daughter’s loved one. Paul joined them shortly, wrapping his arms around both of them, before gently steering them both into the house.
“Why won’t the bigots and haters leave us alone?” Chloe cried. “We’re not killing anyone. We’re not harming anyone. We just want to love the ones we want to love in peace. Monica was one of the best and kindest people I knew. She never hurt anyone. She didn’t even argue nastily. She tried to use love and acceptance to make people change their minds. She didn’t even care if people ultimately didn’t understand. She only wanting to be able to live a life of peace, without fear. She knew who she was even before I did. It’s not fair. Why can’t we love like you do?”
“I don’t know, sweetheart,” Cassie said. “I’ve long given up trying to figure some things out.”
“I’m tired of it. So fucking tired. Every day seems like a struggle. Monica kept me sane. She kept me going. Being with her was like a bolt of lightening energizing me to get up and face the world every day. I don’t know what I’m going to do without her.”
“We feel the same way,” Paul said. “She made every day brighter. No parent should have to outlive their child. Not like this. Never like this.”
“We’ve confirmed they’re holding a memorial for all the victims in Madison on Monday and we’re planning on a lot of things to make it unforgettable. I want everyone to remember Monica’s name and how she died, but I’m going to need your help to do it.”
“What do you need us to do?”
Chloe told them. They started crying again, but agreed with everything she needed them to do.
******
Elaine knocked on Chloe’s door at 10:30.
“Who is it?” Chloe asked.
“Elaine. Can I come in?”
“Sure.”
Elaine came in wearing nothing more than an extended length t-shirt.
“Is there anything in particular you need, Elaine?”
“Remember a long time ago, you helped Matt and I with some pretty bad things. You held your hand up like this.” Elaine put the back of her hand on her forehead, elbow high. “You said, ‘Remember this if I’m ever forlorn and distraught because my girlfriend has broken up with me and I need spiritual and physical solace.’ Do you remember?”
“Yeah, when you found out Matt was your brother.”
“I know your girlfriend didn’t break up with you, but she’s gone and you might need solace. I’m willing to do whatever you need to provide it as long as you don’t mind an old whore in your bed.”
“Quit running yourself down, Elaine. I hate that. Thanks for the offer, but I don’t think I’m ready for sex yet.”
“It doesn’t have to be sex. It can be a simple back rub or some cuddling, whatever you need.”
“Are you wearing anything beneath that shirt?”
“Nothing.”
“Take it off.”
Elaine slipped it off. She’d quit trimming herself when she quit having sex, twenty months ago, so her pubic bush was quite hairy.
“You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen many. Come to bed.”
She pulled back the sheets so Elaine could slip into bed with her. “I don’t want anything particularly sexual, but I wouldn’t mind sleeping next to a naked body. In fact, I slept in between Matt and Dianne last night. They had a Chloe sandwich. It was pretty nice except for the erection Matt woke up with.”
“He didn’t try doing anything with it, did he?”
“No. In fact Dianne didn’t even do anything about it after I left the room. He had to stroke one off. It was nice of them to make room for me. I wasn’t going to get to sleep if they hadn’t.”
“Are you sure this is all you need?” Elaine asked.
“I’m sure. Well, maybe a little kiss would be nice, but nothing more because I am terribly tired right now.”
Elaine gave her a long, soft, gentle kiss. Chloe sighed, closed her eyes, and went to sleep.
******
Elaine woke up due to Chloe’s soft sobs. They’d become disconnected during the night and Elaine was facing away from her. She turned over and gathered Chloe in her arms once more.
“Every time I think it’s getting even the teensiest bit better, I’m overcome with a loss so deep and profound that I don’t know what I’m going to do,” Chloe said.
“I know. It’s hard. Leaving my home when I was eighteen was damn hard. I was leaving everything I loved except my bastard step-father. My whole world was taken away and what replaced it was even worse. Somehow, you survive even though you don’t want to, and eventually the pain eases. Someday, you find someone else to love.”
“You haven’t.”
“I’m not ready yet, any more than you are. If I didn’t think I’d find someone sometime, I’d give up. I’m not giving up yet and neither should you.”
They were holding each other loosely, while Elaine stroked Chloe’s hair. Chloe lifted her face for a kiss and Elaine gave it to her. One kiss led to another, then another, each one becoming more impassioned than the last. They clasped each other more tightly, breasts coming together, and nipples peaking. Elaine slid her hand between Chloe’s legs, letting her soft fingers skim through her furrow, causing a quick gasp to escape Chloe’s lips. Sensuous slow kisses became harder and more demanding. When Elaine bent to take a peaked nipple in her warm and wet mouth, Chloe whimpered. She shivered and gasped when she felt Elaine’s mouth continue its journey to its ultimate destination, the moistness between her legs.
Light kisses, tiny nips of teeth, and a swirling agile tongue searching her hidden folds and secret places sent Chloe over the edge. Her back bowed as she climaxed, holding Elaine’s head tightly against her. Her entire body quivered as three more just like it rolled over her, before Elaine’s head retraced her journey and they were kissing again, Chloe tasting herself on Elaine’s lips.
“For a non-lesbian, you do that pretty well,” Chloe whispered.
“I was a professional,” Elaine said, kissing her again.
“You don’t even like girls.”
“But I love you and it was something you needed. What are friends for if not to make their friends feel better.”
“It did. Thank you.”
“Go back to sleep now, Chloe. You have a lot more work to do in the next few days.”
Chloe snuggled back into Elaine’s arms, enjoying the feeling of her breath warm against her neck and an arm around her cupping her breast. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
******
By the time Chloe awoke, Elaine had already gotten up and disappeared. She found Monica’s parents having breakfast with the Hamiltons, Ethel and the Sanders. She greeted everyone with a hug, reserving a special one for Elaine.
Ethel told Chloe that plans were coming along and she could go back to La Crosse with her parents. “We’ll have everything set up here. Don’t worry about that.”
“Matt already texted me this morning that a bunch of the football players will be taking part. I can’t believe so many are willing to pretend they’re gay. The jocks don’t usually do things like this. It’s not masculine enough. Erin said a lot of the theater people are signing up too. We’ll need to get them to Madison for the memorial.”
“Wisconsin – La Crosse is providing busses for any La Crosse students who sign up to go, as many as they need,” Ethel said. “Just make sure all your participants are signed up. I’ve arranged a flight to get everyone to Milwaukee for Monica’s services on Saturday and then back here. You’ve got a meeting with the Camp Randall people on Sunday afternoon to give them the photos, videos, and everything else you need for the memorial on Monday. They’ll be putting everything you give them up on the Jumbotron in accordance with the script you need them to follow.”
“Got it. Thank you, Ethel. Are you prepared for your parts too?”
“Ready, willing, and able,” Ethel and Georgina said. “We’ll be the leads for that part.” Ethel added, “I’m actually looking forward to it. I’ve been on the sidelines long enough.”
“We’ll also be there opening night of your play,” Georgina said. “Get that part started again.”
Chloe hugged them again, then started crying some more. “You don’t know how much this means to me.”
“It means a lot to all of us, Chloe,” Georgina said. “We’re taking a big step.”
“Still, you’re the best friends, ever. There’s no way I could pull this off without you; all of you. You’ve all been there here for me when I needed you and I won’t forget it. I know all of this would have meant a lot to Monica too. We thought alike in so many ways. It’s why I’m going to miss her so much.”
“Nor will we,” Paul said. “I wish we’d gotten to know you before all this happened, but I’m glad Monica had so many good and kind people in her life.”
******
For the remainder of the day Chloe continued collecting information, even as her parents drove her back to La Crosse in the rented vehicle. She was thrilled that everything was coming together better than she’d thought it would.
When she got home she hugged all of her friends and passed along the information she’d gotten from Ethel. In return, they filled her in on the new information they had collected in her absence.
“I’m not going to expect everyone to remember their lines,” Chloe said. “So in addition to printing out the scripts, we’ll need to use a magic marker to write them on poster board placards big enough to easily read even if you’re crying. This shouldn’t be difficult because everyone’s part will be no more than a paragraph or two, except for mine which I’ll be doing from memory. On Monday, I need Erin and Babs to ride down on the busses with the actors so that they can pass out scripts and make sure the actors know when to speak. I’m sorry you both can’t attend the funeral, but I need you here in my absence because the major players are attending Monica’s funeral on Saturday in Milwaukee.
“I’ll be spending most of the next couple days writing the lines and developing the story to go with them. I’ll give them out five at a time, so you don’t have to write them all at once. Saturday, Dianne, Matt, and my parents are flying to Milwaukee for the funeral. You’ll have the entire script before then. Ethel Thornhill gave us a prepaid Visa card for supplies such as poster board, magic markers, copy services, pizza or other food items you might need. No alcohol, however. She’s not paying for anyone to get drunk. I’ll leave two copies of the script here. If you need more, make copies.”
Once everyone had their instructions, Chloe got busy working on each persons story. She wanted the whole world to cry. Every hour or so, she had five stories ready to be turned into poster board placards. Enormous amounts of Chinese food was ordered to feed everyone as they worked. Around ten, Matt finally kicked everyone out. No one protested because they were all operating on fumes. Erin had fallen asleep on the couch, Barbara was drooping, and Chloe’s parents were yawning repeatedly.
As soon as everyone was gone, Matt and Dianne went to bed. They were so tired they decided to skip sex. Dianne was sleeping and Matt was drifting off when there was a knock on their bedroom door.
“What do you need, Chloe?”
“I’m sorry to be such a shit, Matt, but I am so used to having another body in bed that I can’t sleep and I know I have to.”
“Come in,” he said, “same arrangement as the night before last?” He asked as he opened the door.
“If it’s all the same to you, I’ll let Dianne be the sandwich tonight, in case Matt, Jr. decides to make another appearance. She might not mind taking care of it. I’m not sure what you’ll do if you’re tired enough.”
“Sure,” Matt laughed.
Chloe climbed into bed with them. “Hey, Chloe,” Dianne mumbled sleepily as she slid in beside her.
“Hey, yourself. Sorry to be a big baby.”
“It’s okay,” Dianne said. “I understand completely. It always took me at least a month after Robert deployed before it felt right to be alone in my bed. By the time he died, I was used to it, which made it worse somehow. What did you do last night?”
“Elaine came to my room and slept with me. A little more actually. She remembered me saying I might need spiritual and physical solace if a girlfriend ever left me. She gave me both. Not at first. We just went to bed like this, but I was crying in the middle of the night and that’s when she did it.”
“Really,” Matt said. His damned cock began getting hard at the thought of his sister and Chloe fucking. “I’m a little surprised by that.”
“I felt bad about it afterward. All I did was take. I didn’t even give her any pleasure back. Felt like a fucking man, going to sleep after I got my rocks off.”
“Matt,” Dianne said, “put that thing away. We’re not fucking tonight, especially with Chloe in bed with us.”
“I’m sorry. It has a mind of its own. I wasn’t expecting to do anything with it. I’m tired too.”
“You weren’t expecting us to do the same thing tonight, were you Chloe?” Dianne asked. “If so, Matt’s going to be the one to take care of it. He’s ready to have sex with a woman, I’m not.”
Chloe laughed. “I wasn’t even expecting it last night, it just sort of happened. I know Elaine isn’t into girls, so I guess it was more of a gift thing, going above and beyond because she was feeling sorry for me. It made me feel guilty afterwards because I had sex so soon after Monica died. It was nice, though. Made me feel alive for the first time since I got the news.”
“Go to sleep now,” Dianne said. “I’m exhausted. I can only imagine how tired you must be.”
“Good night, John Boy,” Chloe said. “Good night, Mary Ellen.”
“Good night, Jim-Bob,” Dianne said.
“You caught ‘The Waltons’ reference.”
“Before my time but I’ve seen a few episodes.” She curled up against Chloe’s back. “Shh. Sleep.” She kissed Chloe’s head and felt the tension release from her body. Matt curled up against her. His cock was still somewhat stiff, but softening. They all fell asleep rather quickly.
******
When Dianne woke up the next morning, Chloe was up already. Matt was still asleep with his cock pressed into the crease of her bottom. Dealing with all the emotions of Monica’s death had made her crave closeness too, a reminder of her own loss. She carefully extricated herself from his arms and took his cock into her mouth, deciding to wake him up in a way she knew he’d appreciate.
It didn’t take long for him to moan and thrust forward into her mouth. Dianne had no problem swallowing the full length of him, but now that he was awake she had another place his cock needed to be. She rolled Matt onto his back and mounted him, feeling the girth of him fill her completely. As she started to ride him she mused that it was practically a surprise just how good it felt to fuck him every time they had sex.
“What brought this on?” Matt moaned.
“Chloe isn’t the only one who needed to feel more alive,” Dianne replied. “This situation has caused a lot of my own feelings of loss to arise again. Fortunately, I have someone who can do something about it. I hope you don’t mind if I use you, do you?”
“Go ahead. Make me your sex toy. Use me as much as you want.”
Dianne smiled, then leaned down for a kiss. Matt palmed her breasts. Dianne moaned.
She was through her first orgasm and well on the way to her second when the door opened and Chloe said, “Oops. Sorry. Breakfast is on the table if and when you’re hungry for something other than each other.”
“Close the door,” Dianne said.
“Right.” She heard the door close but Chloe raised her voice on the other side. “May I say you have a very nice ass, Ms. Rogers?”
“Fuck!” Dianne said.
“It’s true,” Matt said. “It’s a great ass.”
“Thanks. Keep plugging away, Sanders. We’ll measure the quality of my ass by how long you can keep fucking me.”
“It’s an inverse ratio,” Matt said. “The finer the ass, the quicker I cum, and I’m going to cum soon.”
“Try to hold out long enough for my second orgasm, please.”
“I’ll do my best. No promises, though.”
Matt managed to hold out until Dianne shuddered through another orgasm and her contractions squeezed down on his prick.
“I expected more from you, Matt.”
“Hey, it’s the first one of the day. Give a guy a break. I did tell you it was a great ass.”
Dianne laughed and leaned down for another kiss before dismounting and heading for the bathroom, carefully holding her hand over her pussy which was flooded with a ton of cum.
Matt heard her use the toilet, then step into the shower. Given the all clear, he drained himself and brushed his teeth, waiting for the shower to open up. Dianne got out, patted her body dry, then wrapped her wet hair in the towel, leaving her body bare. Matt found himself getting hard again, even as he got into the shower. Dianne did have an amazing body. How the hell hadn’t he noticed her when he was in his blue funk?
When he got out, he saw she’d put on school clothes. “I have a test today I can’t get out of,” Dianne said. “I’ll cut the rest of my classes, but I can’t cut the test.”
“No problem. I’ve got one tomorrow I have to take. Almost the end of my senior year. I can’t miss much now. Hard to make them up.”
“No kidding. I’ll save you some bacon.”
Leaving Matt to dress, Dianne joined Chloe in the kitchen and snatched half the remaining bacon off the plate.
“Really sorry,” Chloe said. “I didn’t hear you stirring in there.”
“You just wanted to see my fine ass, admit it.”
“I’ve been practically joined to your fine ass two of the last three nights. I didn’t really have to see it to know how nice it was. Not to mention, you fill out a pair of jeans just fine.”
“Why thank you, Hamilton. I’ll accept a complement from anyone who has a sincere appreciation for the female form. I have a test first thing, but I’ll be back afterward. What time are the others getting here?”
“I think Matt said nine. I admit to not paying much attention as he shooed them out the door. I was pretty whipped. Haven’t slept all that great either. My thanks for you fondling my boob last night.”
“What can I say; it was there and I was asleep.”
“They always get in the way, but I do love them,” Chloe agreed.
Dianne laughed and left. Matt came out ten minutes later. He was finishing up his breakfast when people started arriving. Ben and Mary Jane Hamilton arrived first. They hugged Chloe before starting on the next task she’d set for them. Erin and Barbara came next, followed by Martin and Yolanda.
“Matt, buddy, why did I have to hear about this fucking disaster by reading a damn sign at the Student Union? You couldn’t have told me in person?”
“We’ve been busier than shit, Marty. We’re trying to get ready for this big memorial at Camp Randall stadium on Monday, and the funeral is Saturday in Milwaukee. We’re busting our butts trying to get ready.”
Yolanda saw Chloe and went to her, hugging her. They’d met Chloe a dozen or so times and Monica a few times.
“What can we do? We’ll help,” Yolanda said.
“Yolanda. You’re going to be one of the actors,” Chloe said. “I need a young woman with a baby and you’ll be perfect.”
“I don’t have a baby.”
“No worries, you will. It’s supposed to be nine months old, so I need you to go buy an 18-24 inch long baby doll. Try to get a black one, but if we have to use a white one we will. Martin, I need you to acquire several things: a mannequin or first aid dummy, used is fine; twelve dozen packages of pencils; a dress, preferably a bright sky-blue color; and a sledgehammer, that you know you can swing fourteen times. I don’t think it will be easy to find everything we need, but I have faith you. Don’t dawdle, because when you get back I’ll need to explain the part you’re going to play. Here’s a prepaid credit card. Anyone can sign it. We’ll feed you when you get back, so don’t worry about food. Do you need a list?”
“Probably. It sounds important and I don’t want to miss anything. We’ll look around, see what we can find,” Marty said. As Chloe made out the list, Marty asked, “Matt, where’s your better half?”
“Taking a test. She’ll be back before you are. Thanks for helping out.”
“Monica was good people. I’d feel like a dick if I didn’t. Any chance we can go to the funeral, or is it a family only affair?”
“I haven’t heard Paul and Cassie say it’s limited. If you want to fly down with us, it should be fine.”
“Fly, when the hell did you get money?”
“We have an angel, a good friend of my mother. We wouldn’t have time to do anything if we didn’t have help. I’ll explain later.”
“Here’s the list, Marty,” Chloe said. “You’ll probably need to find the mannequin before you buy the dress unless you buy one that’s oversized and can fit almost anything. If you do, buy safety pins and we’ll pin it to fit better. Maybe if you tell a store it’s for a memorial for all the slain people down in Madison, they’ll give you an older one collecting dust somewhere. You can always ask.” She gave each of them a hug and Yolanda a kiss on the cheek. “If you ever get tired of the big lug and want to bat for the other team, you know where to find me.”
Yolanda laughed, saying, “Don’t tempt me,” took Marty’s hand and left. “You better give me the list. You’ll lose it.”
Martin handed it over, grinning. Yolanda said, “If I did, you wouldn’t get to watch anyway. Don’t get your hopes up.”
“Don’t tease me.”
“You can’t be teased if you don’t think about it, so don’t think about it.” They left, closing the door behind them.
“Chloe, were you serious about Yolanda,” Mary Jane asked.
“Not really. I couldn’t possibly replace Monica that easily. Everyone just likes to rag on Marty because he really wants to see two women making out. We keep throwing out the innuendo’s just to see the steam coming out of his ears. Dianne did it too. Matt was there and can tell you about it. He really tells the story pretty well.”
Matt told the story, using a falsetto voice to mimic the females with lots of arm and hand smooching to show what the two women did to Marty. Erin and Barbara really got a kick out of it.
“Maybe we should kiss each other when Marty gets back,” Erin said. “Yank his chain.”
“You do know I’m a lesbian, right?” Barbara asked.
“Yeah, so? It’s just acting.”
“It won’t be acting when I kiss you. I think you’re hot.”
“Really?”
“Come on, Erin. Quit fishing for complements. Everyone thinks you’re hot,” Chloe said. “You’ve been hit on by everyone, including me once or twice.”
“Everyone but Matt, apparently,” Erin said.
“Wrong,” Matt said. “I think you’re hot, too. My nose was just out of joint and I was at a stage where I couldn’t see the forest for the trees. It had nothing to do with you.”
“Chloe said you were down in the dumps for awhile,” Ben said. “She never said why.”
“Fell in love with the wrong woman, Dad. Some people aren’t a good fit. Dianne snapped him out of it. She’s a better fit for Matt than Erin anyway. Erin is too flighty. Matt needs someone down to earth.”
“I’m not flighty,” Erin protested.
“How many people have you dated this school year?” Chloe asked.
“Ten, maybe.”
“I think you’re undercounting by at least four. I think you dated more often than I was before I met Monica and I was switching dates every three weeks or so.”
Erin laughed. “Now that I think of it, you’re probably right, there might be another five or six I skipped over. It’s not my fault I haven’t found the right one.”
“You don’t stay with anyone long enough to know if they’re the right one. Since you’ve gone through most of the male population of the school, maybe you’re looking on the wrong side of the tracks and should consider dating Babs.”
“Well, she is cute,” Erin said. “I’ll check out how well she kisses when Marty gets back.”
“Get ready for a show, folks. It should be entertaining,” Chloe said. “Erin, you have to mop up Marty’s drool.”
Dianne was back around 11:00. She gave Matt a kiss and went to change into something comfortable, coming back out in ten minutes.
Around 12:30, Marty texted that he’d found the mannequin and that they’d be back in about a half hour after making a swing through WalMart.
Matt put an order in for four large pizzas and informed Dianne what Erin and Barbara intended doing when Marty came back.
About a dozen minutes before Marty and Yolanda were due to arrive, Chloe said, “Sounds like you’re up, girls. I’ll surrender the couch to you. How risqué are you going to get with my parents here?”
“I’m perfectly willing to go with only a bra on top,” Barbara said. “You can put your hand underneath the bra, but no exposing the nips to Chloe’s folks.” She took off her shirt exposing a lovely black lace bra.
“I don’t have a bra on,” Erin said, “so I guess you just run your hands under my shirt and have a go at my boobs.”
“Geez,” Ben said. “When I was in college it was the height of hilarity to put some vaseline or shaving cream on the door knob, certainly nothing like this.”
“Welcome to the twenty-first century,” Chloe said.
“Have you ever done anything like this, Chloe?” Mary Jane asked.
“Not on purpose. Matt walked in on me making out with the first woman I was ever with. We had less than that on though, a lot less. He could have gone ballistic, but he didn’t. It’s the reason we’re still friends.”
“You never said how it happened,” Mary Jane said. “That must have been rough, Matt.”
“Better than finding out a couple years after we were married. I think things worked out for the best.”
Barbara and Erin got on the couch, Erin facing inward and Barbara facing out. They started to kiss. There was a knock on the door and Erin pushed her hand under Barbara’s bra, squeezing her soft breast. Everyone scattered and pretended to ignore what was happening on the couch. Matt opened the door for Marty and Yolanda. He had a life size mannequin in his arms and she was carrying two big shopping bags.
“You were right, Chloe,” Marty said, stepping into the room. “Finding the mannequin was a bitch. We got everything on the list though.”
He leaned the mannequin against one of the walls. They didn’t notice the two on the couch until Barbara moaned.
His eyes snapped to the couch and he said, “Whoa! What the fuck is going on here?”
“Erin and Barbara wanted to take a quick break until the pizza got here,” Dianne said. “They’ve been going at for a few minutes now. Ignore them. It’s so uncouth.”
Barbara lifted up Erin’s shirt, back still to the room and started sucking on one of Erin’s nipples. “Oh, Babs! That feels wonderful. Why haven’t we done this before?”
“You had an unhealthy fascination with dicks,” Barbara said, lifting off the tempting tit in front of her. “Oh, hey, Marty, Yolanda. Good to see you’re back. Means the pizza can’t be far behind.” She resumed sucking on the nipple in front of her.
Marty was drifting over to the couch to get a better look. Barbara replaced her lips with a hand, massaging Erin’s breast and resumed kissing her passionately. Both of the girls were moaning now, and it wasn’t all an act. Erin really seemed to be getting into it.
Yolanda went over to grab Marty’s arm, but he shrugged it off until she said, “Come on, Hansen, give them a little privacy.”
“If they wanted privacy, wouldn’t they be in a bedroom?”
Barbara started to lose it, trying to suppress the giggles starting to bubble up, then Erin lost it altogether, breaking into gales of laughter.
“Fuck, Marty,” Erin said, “you’re so easy. I couldn’t believe it when Matt told us how easy it would be to pull your leg.” She pulled her shirt down before turning to face him with a big grin on her face. Barbara also sat up, still laughing. “On the other hand, Babs, that was more fun than I expected.”
Erin pecked Barbara’s cheek before handing Barbara her top. “To be continued later if you want.”
“Happy to.” She stood and planted a more serious kiss on Erin’s lips while grabbing her ass.
“If you’re going to do it anyway, can’t you do it here?” Marty said.
Yolanda punched his arm. “Yeah, in front of you and a half dozen other people. Don’t be a jerk. You and your lesbian fetish.”
“You have to admit it looked hot,” Marty said. “Back me up here, Matt. That was hot, right?”
“Oh, yeah, hot. But I don’t expect anyone to put on a show for me, not to mention Chloe’s folks.”
Matrin looked at the two older adults in the room. “College. What can I say?”
“You can say, ‘Pardon me, Mrs. Hamilton, for showing you my erection,'” Mary Ellen said, “That would do for a start.” She pointed to the bulge tenting his trousers.
Martin looked down. “Pardon me, Mrs. Hamilton. I’d cover it with my hand, but I don’t think that would help it any.” He did have the grace to turn away.
Ben snickered. “I have to admit that was more fun than vaseline on the doorknob.”
There was another knock on the door and Chloe said, “Pizza’s here. Babs, you may want to put your shirt on again before I open the door.”
Barbara replaced her shirt and Chloe opened the door and took possession of the four pizzas. “Pay the man, Marty. You still have the credit card.” When Marty turned around, he still had a large bulge in his pants. “Ignore the erection,” Chloe told the delivery driver. “He’s just happy the pizza is here.”
The driver tried averted his eyes, which made it hard for Marty to hand him the card, so finally Marty handed the card to Chloe and headed for one of the bathrooms.
Dianne shouted after him, “You clean up any mess you make.” Everyone laughed and Marty shot a bird back at them.
“You’re right,” Erin said. “Easy to tease and a lot of fun in the bargain.”
They started to pass out pizza and Cokes. Marty came back seven minutes later sans erection.
Dianne noticed the lack and mentioned it to the others. “He’s back and without the distraction this time.”
“No help from any of you,” Marty muttered, looking at Yolanda especially.
“I did tell you to ignore them. Don’t blame me, you pervert.”
Marty laughed. “I am a pervert. So what. Fuck you all.”
“I’ll thank you not to use that language around my wife and daughter,” Ben said.
“I’m sorry about your wife, sir, but I bet Chloe was knee deep in this little plot.”
“Not so much this time, Marty. This was all Erin and Barbara after they heard all about your little escapade during the camping trip.”
Erin and Barbara waved while each biting into a slice of pizza.
“Ooh, Barbara. I just had the most wicked idea. What if I were to eat pepperoni off your pussy?” Erin said.
“Stop it,” Marty said. “Pick on someone else for awhile.”
“No one is as easy as you to pick on,” Dianne said. “Have you ever wondered what Chloe, Monica, and I did when Matt was gone playing in away games?” She kissed Chloe, parting her lips when they kissed.
“Nothing. Matt said you’ve never been with a woman.”
“How did that little topic of conversation come up?” Chloe asked, her arm around Dianne, stroking her waist.
“Locker room talk,” Marty said.
“Did you think we’d tell Matt what we did when he was gone?” Dianne said, rubbing her body against Chloe. She kissed Chloe again, long and sensuous.
“It’s happening again, Dianne,” Erin said. “Marty has another boner. Good one.”
“Fuck all of you,” Marty said, stalking off to the bathroom again, with two slices of pizza.
“You’re right,” Erin said. “That boy is salivating thinking of two girls making out. Have you ever been with a girl, Dianne?”
“No, but I’ll never tell Marty that. Let him keep guessing. I wonder what he’d do if he saw Yolanda making out with someone when he comes back.”
“Probably want to join in,” Yolanda said. “He’d probably stay hard for hours.”
“Have you ever had the desire to be with a woman?” Erin asked Dianne.
Dianne glanced at Chloe’s parents. This was a bit of an embarrassment. She could lie, but they were all grownups. Well, except for Marty maybe, but he was back in the bathroom again.
“I don’t think it’s possible to live with Chloe without at least thinking about it. She’s attractive and a force of nature, but I didn’t want to lose a place to stay over sex. Kind of like shitting where you eat.”
Matt and Chloe’s parents looked at her. “It was just a fleeting thought before we got together, Matt. I’m enjoying sex with you too much to think about Chloe now. I don’t mess with good relationships.”
“So it’s not totally perverted for me to think about continuing my jest with Barbara for real?” Erin said.
“I wouldn’t think so, but I don’t think there’s too much I would consider perverted between consenting adults. Chloe seems to enjoy being a lesbian. I suppose that means there’s enjoyment to be had with another woman.”
Erin took Barbara’s hand in hers. “What do you say, Babs? My place when we leave here?”
“Hell, yes. I’ve had the hots for you since I joined the theater department.”
“Just ducky,” Chloe exclaimed, “my pain becomes a way for two other girls to hook up.”
“I’m sorry,” Erin said. “I didn’t plan on this. It just sort of happened.”
“I don’t blame you, Erin, Barbara, or anyone here, really,” Chloe said. “Life goes on. At least it goes on for everyone but me. It just sucks because I lost someone. Someone I don’t know if I can ever replace. I’m driving myself to do this Memorial for Monica because it’s a way to stay busy and not think. I imagine if I stop and let myself feel, I’ll want to kill myself.”
Mary Jane went up to her daughter and held her.
“Do you want to take a break, Chloe?”
“I can’t. It’s the only thing keeping me sane right now. I want to scream to the world that this is not fair. Killing Monica isn’t fair. What they did to me isn’t fair. Why would anyone do this?”
Chloe went back to the couch and started working again. Ben pulled Matt and Dianne close.
“Please, keep an eye on her. I’m worried,” he whispered.
“We will, Ben, don’t worry.”
“Does she have any sleeping pills or anything?”
“Not that I know of,” Dianne said. “Chloe doesn’t use drugs.
“I guess she’ll be okay before the memorial, but I’m less sure about after.”
“She’s got the play at the Community Theater which starts next week. That will keep her busy for another couple weeks,” Matt said. “We’ll make sure all her friends keep an eye on her. Then she’s got the rest of the school year, exams, and what not. She’ll be pretty busy whether she wants to be or not. We get her past the next couple months, I think she’ll be fine.”
“I hope you’re right. She’s our only child and I can’t afford to lose her. I couldn’t handle being as devastated as Monica’s parents are.”
“I promise we’ll keep a real close eye on her,” Dianne said. “She’s actually sleeping with us.” Ben looked at her sharply. “It’s nothing sexual. Chloe doesn’t want sex right now, it would feel like she’s cheating on Monica, it’s more that she just doesn’t want to be alone at night. I understand what she’s going through, the sense of loss and overwhelming loneliness. I was married to a man who was killed in Afghanistan. He’d been gone a long time before he died, so I’d kinda gotten used to sleeping alone again, but every time he deployed I missed him horribly.”
“I’m sorry for your loss,” Ben said. “I didn’t know.”
“You couldn’t be expected to. We just met. We both care for Chloe a great deal. She’s the best female friend I’ve ever had and she’s the reason I met Matt.”
“Here’s five more lines,” Chloe called out. “There’s too much standing around and chit chatting. Where’s Marty? I need to go over his role on Monday.”
“Here,” Marty said, eating another pizza slice. “What do you need?”
“Did you finally ditch that other boner? Good, sit here and I’ll tell you what your role is. You’re going to be one of the stars.”
Marty sat down beside Chloe and listened, while Matt got the next five sets of lines to apply to the poster board.

Chloe joined them later that night again, sliding into their bed naked when they invited her in.
“Your parents are worried about you, Chloe. We told your Dad we’d look out for you.” Dianne said, wrapping an arm around Chloe. “I told him you were spending the nights with us.”
“What did he say to that?”
“He didn’t say anything. I told him it wasn’t for sex, just company as you didn’t want to sleep alone. I think he’s happy we’re around to make sure you won’t take a bottle of sleeping pills or something. You know, we all care a great deal for you, right?”
“I know.”
“I promise it will get better at some point. I don’t know when, but it will.”
“It can’t come fast enough.”
Dianne kissed her cheek. “Every so often, we have to deal with a life fucking sucks moment. You got handed a big one.”
Chloe cried softly for several minutes but eventually fell asleep.
Matt whispered in Dianne’s ear, “I don’t know if I could survive losing you.”
Dianne turned her head so Matt could kiss her, still curled around Chloe after comforting her during her crying.
“I know I wouldn’t survive losing a second person I love so much,” she whispered back. “Hold me tight, Matt.”
Matt nestled closer and they eventually dropped to sleep.
******
Matt had a test in the morning so he got up at six to do some last minute studying. He threw on some jockeys and a t-shirt to sit around in. He was glad that he and Dianne normally spent so much time cracking the books, because he hadn’t had the opportunity to study since getting the news about Monica on Monday. Fortunately, this test wasn’t in one of his harder classes and he felt he had a good grasp of the concepts being tested. For the next ninety minutes, he checked all his notes and reread the highlighted sections of his course book. Satisfied that he was as ready as he could be, he headed to the bedroom to get dressed for class.
With him out of the bed, Chloe and Dianne had ended up in a loose embrace as they slept. The top sheet only went up to their waists and they looked amazing naked together. Matt felt himself stiffen. Marty wasn’t the only one who thought two naked ladies looked great together.
“Down boy,” he told himself. “Save it for later.”
The problem was, who knew when later would be. With Chloe in their bed every night and people invading the apartment every day, he wasn’t getting nearly as much sex as he was used to. He considered making a pit stop in the bathroom like Marty had twice yesterday. Instead, he put on his jeans and shoes and then bent down to give Dianne a quick kiss on the shoulder before he headed to class.
When Dianne opened her eyes around eight, she found herself staring into Chloe’s, who was watching her.
“Morning, Chloe,” Dianne said, stretching.
“Morning.” Chloe paused for a few moments watching Dianne work out the kinks. “Can I ask you a personal question?”
“You can always ask.”
“Was it true what you told everyone yesterday?”
“Which thing?”
“That you thought about having sex with me?”
“Never seriously, but the thought crossed my mind once or twice briefly. College is where you can explore those things and I have always been curious about sex with a woman, but it’s not as if I had a burning curiosity because I’ve always been into boys. Besides, I needed you as a friend and roommate more than I wanted or needed sex. So if I was going to go there I would have been more inclined to explore with someone other than you, because I didn’t want to be another girl on the Chloe discard pile. You were whipping through them pretty fast.”
“Hmm. Too bad.” Chloe turned onto her back, staring at the ceiling.
“What’s too bad?”
“I hear you with Matt a lot and it seems you’re a very passionate woman. I wouldn’t have minded igniting some of that passion. Can’t do it now. I couldn’t possibly do that to Matt twice. That would make me the world’s biggest shit.”
“I found Matt and you found Monica. We were all happy for a short time. Unfortunately, happiness is quite fleeting. I’ve been exposed to the fleeting nature of it twice now, so I don’t take it for granted anymore.”
“More fleeting than I expected when I was making my plans for the future.”
Dianne squeezed Chloe’s hand.
“I’m up. Anything in particular you want for breakfast?” Dianne asked, getting out of bed.
“Not breakfast, exactly. Do we have anymore of that stew or chili Matt’s mom and Ethel cooked up. It sounds great to me.”
“I believe we have a little of both. You know what sounds good to me? A cheese omelet with lots of chili and more cheese spread over it.”
“That does sound good. Maybe I’m getting some appetite back because that actually sounds great. I’ll make the omelets if you grate the cheese and heat the chili.”
“Done. I’ll check with Ethel what time we need to be at the airport to catch the plane tomorrow.”
Dianne threw on some clothes and got started on breakfast while Chloe went back to her room. When she had plenty of cheese grated and the chili heating on the stove, she called Ethel.
“What time do we have to be at the airport tomorrow, Ethel?”
“Eight-thirty. How many will be flying?”
“Seven. Matt’s friends Marty and Yolanda want to go to the funeral with us. Will we all fit and how long is the flight?”
“The plane holds fifteen and the flight time is like twenty minutes, with about that long in the landing pattern at Milwaukee. Say an hour total from the time you climb on board until your feet touch the ground again.”
“That fast?”
“Corporate jet, dear. About 550 miles per hour for a 175-mile flight. I’ll have a limo waiting to take you to the funeral home once you land. I understand the memorial service will take between ninety minutes and two hours there, and perhaps an additional hour at the gravesite.
“After the funeral, around five, we’re off to Madison, along with Matt’s family and Monica’s folks. Make sure you bring multiple changes of clothes, including formalwear for both the funeral and the Memorial, sleepwear, and a swimming suit because I have a nice heated pool. We can wash some clothes on Sunday if you need. We’ll probably have a backyard barbecue on Sunday night. Monday, after the Memorial, you’ll fly out around six and be back in time for a good night’s sleep before classes start on Tuesday. Tell Chloe the Governor will be at the Memorial with a special announcement.”
“Thank you so much, Ethel. You’ve been a God send.”
“You’re very welcome, Dianne. I look forward to seeing you again.”
When Ethel hung up, Dianne told Chloe the Governor planned to be at the Memorial service and had some special announcement planned.
“I hope he isn’t planning to turn it into some kind of political gobbledygook. Let’s keep this about the victims of this violence and not some political nonsense about his reelection.”
******
People started showing up again at nine. Erin and Barbara showed up together holding hands.
“What put that big, shit-eating grin on your face, Erin?” Chloe said. “As if I have to ask.”
“Barbara,” Erin admitted. “Who ever knew that a girl could be so much fun?”
Barbara and Chloe raised their hands, then Ben and Marty did too.
“Hey,” Ben said, pulling Mary Jane in for a kiss, “I like girls. I’ve known girls were fun ever since I was a young man.”
“Amen,” Marty said. “I think it’s crazy when anyone says they don’t like girls.” He kissed Yolanda. “So Erin, does this mean you’re full on lesbian now or are you going to be a switch hitter?”
“I’ll probably be a switch hitter, but perhaps I need to see how well my relationship with Babs develops before I make any rash judgements one way or the other.”
“Why don’t you seal it with a kiss,” Marty said.
“Just so you get to go into the bathroom and whack off again?” Chloe said.
“I’d prefer if Yolanda went with me and no whacking off was involved,” Marty said, grinning at his girlfriend.
Yolanda scrunched up her face and held her nose, saying, “Eww, man juice. Disgusting.”
“That isn’t what you said this morning,” Marty said, grabbing his crotch.
Mary Jane said, “Things sure have changed since I was a young woman. I can’t believe you talk this way amongst yourselves.”
“Your parents probably said the same thing about you when you were growing up,” Dianne said. “Heaven knows I heard it from my mother when I was in high school. I’m not sure why it makes so much difference. We all know we’re having sex. It’s no secret. I don’t know why it can’t be a topic of conversation like anything else. Matt’s Mom admitted she jumped the gun on her honeymoon night and his eldest sister wasn’t born two weeks premature. People were obviously having sex back then, they just didn’t talk about it as much. They certainly couldn’t admit they were gay. Even now, we see how risky it can be admitting it, but if you don’t talk about it, things will never change. If people had been able to talk openly about their sexuality and come out fifty years ago, maybe Monica would be alive today. If we don’t discuss it now, a hundred years from now, some idiot will crash his hover car into a crowd of protestors, destroying a lot more lives.”
Chloe went over to and hugged Dianne. “Hear, hear,” she said. “We’re going to raise the bar on discussion. Time to get busy everyone. Ethel told us the plane is leaving for Milwaukee at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Be there or be left behind. Marty and Yolanda, this means you. Since you won’t be coming back to La Crosse, you need to bring clothes for the funeral, the memorial, and for Sunday, including swim suits as there is a pool where we’ll be staying. Martin, you can wear nice, clean athletic wear to the Memorial since you’re going to be quite active.
“Barbara and Erin, you need to ride on the buses carrying the people who signed up to participate in the Memorial script. Hand out the poster board lines and have everyone practice their lines in accordance with the script a couple times on the way down to Madison. They can memorize their lines or just read them, I don’t care. I don’t need Oscar winning performances, but I do need honest ones. No laughing and treating this like a joke. It’s no joke to me. If they aren’t serious, give their lines to someone else. I won’t be making any changes to that part of the script at all, but I may make other changes to what I say right up until we start. Some of it might depend on what the stadium people tell me can be done. I speak to them on Sunday to set their script.
“Erin, I need you to make sure the mannequin and all the other props make it onto the busses. We can’t haul them all over Wisconsin. Marty can help you get them to your house. Ask for help if you need it to get them onto the bus.
“I only have ten more lines for the other actors, then we’ll feed you again and you can go home. I want to thank each and every one of you for all the help and support you’ve given me for the last several days. I’d be a wreck now if not for all of you. You’ll never know how much it has meant to me as words are not sufficient. Thank you.”
Chloe went back to the couch, finishing up the last few lines for the other actors over the next ninety minutes. Matt got back and after changing into more comfortable clothes, helped with the rest. When everyone was done, Dianne ordered a couple buckets of chicken and fixins’ from KFC. After everyone was fed, the younger folks left, leaving only Chloe’s parents.
“Do you need us for anything else, honey?” Mary Jane asked.
Chloe gave her mother a big hug. “Nope. For now, you’ve done all you can. Why don’t you do some sightseeing? You haven’t been to this side of the state very often, and the drive along the Mississippi is quite lovely.”
“Would you like to come with us, Chloe? You need to recharge too,” Ben said.
“No thanks. It sounds nice, but I need to keep working on Monday’s script. Plus, I need to think about what I’m going to say at Monica’s funeral tomorrow. There’s nothing more to help me with and I need to get this done.”
“I’m sorry, Chloe, we weren’t there for you when you came out,” Mary Jane said. “I’ve never regretted anything as much in my life as I regret that. I’m glad we finally figured things out and got a chance to meet Monica. She was a special girl.”
“You stepped up when I needed you. I forgive you.”
“I wish there was nothing you had to forgive us for,” Ben said. “Matt, Dianne, I’m glad you were here for her when we weren’t. If either of you ever needs anything from us, don’t hesitate to ask. We’ll see everyone bright and early in the morning.”
Matt and Dianne hugged both of them before they left.
Chloe hugged Matt and Dianne before disappearing in her room.
“We haven’t been alone much since Monday,” Matt said. “Any chance I can convince you into a little sex?”
“Won’t take much convincing, Sanders. I’m as desperate as you.”
“I don’t know about that. I think I’ve had an erection since 7:30 this morning.”
“What brought that on?” Dianne asked. “And does it mean you’re going to ejaculate prematurely?” She had his hand and was leading him to the bedroom.
“When I came into the bedroom to dress for my test, I saw you and Chloe snuggled together in the bed, half naked and looking mighty fine.”
“Only half naked? I recall going to bed all naked.” Dianne was unbuttoning Matt’s shirt.
“You had the sheet pulled up to your waists.” Matt started on his jeans, showing Dianne he wasn’t joking about the state of his cock.
Dianne smiled when she saw it, dropping to her knees.
“You aren’t going to be as bad as Marty is, are you?” she asked before engulfing the top half of his prick in her mouth.
“I’m not as bad as Marty. I went to my test, didn’t I? But I have to say you sure looked sweet, limbs all entangled, you’re both incredible looking women.”
Dianne nodded, unwilling to quit what she was doing.
“You’re going to make me cum pretty quick,” Matt groaned, starting to thrust a little into Dianne’s voracious mouth.
He could feel her smile. She looked up at him before sliding all the way to the base of his cock. Matt couldn’t help it as his hot cum boiled up from his balls, through his engorged cock, and shot like a firehose into those willing lips, which lightly sucked on him as her tongue swirled around the crown of his cock.
Waiting until his cock stopped twitching and she’d managed to pump out all she could, Dianne looked up at her lover with a huge grin. “Now, I don’t have to worry about you cumming too soon.”
She stood up and removed her clothing, revealing her perfect naked body. He growled, grabbed her, and fell with her onto the bed, kissing and caressing every inch of bare skin he could find.
They had sex for a very long time before Matt climaxed again, Dianne cumming several times in the process.
Matt rolled over, panting, a light sweat sheen on both their skins.
“That was almost worth not having sex the past few days,” Matt said. “That was amazing.”
“It really was,” Dianne readily agreed. “That reminds me. I had an interesting chat with Chloe this morning after you left.”
“About what?”
“She asked me if I was serious about having thought of sex with her before I met you.”
“Were you?”
“It crossed my mind. Curiosity mostly, but I wanted a stable roommate more than I wanted to experiment with a woman. Then I met you and the question became moot anyway. I’d never do that to you and neither would Chloe. She said having sex with me while I was with you would make her the biggest shit in the world.”
“Are you still curious what it would be like?”
“Not enough to jeopardize what I have with you. I love you. You know that.”
“You know she offered to have sex with me when I was in at my lowest?”
“I do. She told me when I first met your family. It intrigued me why a young, healthy, male who was offered no strings attached sex with someone as beautiful as Chloe would turn it down. It’s one of the reasons I wanted to meet the real you, not the shell shocked wreck who kept showing up on Chloe’s door.”
“Yeah. It didn’t feel right taking a pity fuck from my lesbian ex-girlfriend. Kind of like why you didn’t try it out. I needed the friend more than I needed the sex. At the time, I was still pretty hung up on Elaine and I felt I’d be cheating on her, sick as that is.”
“Not so sick. You were grieving a lost love. I couldn’t have sex with you as soon as I might have either for the same reason. It felt like cheating on Robert. The night I came into your room, I actually tried talking to him, Robert that is, telling him I’d met you and cared for you and thought you were a good man he’d approve of. Of course, he didn’t answer, but I felt better for talking to him and making my feelings known. I knew he wouldn’t want me grieving for the rest of my life, but I didn’t want to leap into someone else’s arms too fast, either. It felt like if I did, I wouldn’t be honoring his loss enough.”
“I think you should have sex with Chloe.”
Dianne was thunderstruck. “Why?”
“Because I think she needs it, like I needed it when she came over and offered.”
“What makes you think she would accept a pity fuck any more than you would?
“From me, it would be a pity fuck because she doesn’t fuck guys and I know that. ‘I’m sorry Monica died, here’s some dick for you in recompense, even though you don’t really like dick, at least I’ll make you feel good for a little while.’ You, on the other hand, are curious about sex with a woman and would be satisfying your curiosity.”
“And you don’t think she’d believe I was satisfying my curiosity because she lost Monica?”
“That would be part of the reason, but not the only reason. It gives her an excuse to lie to herself. An alternative reason. Besides, you really would like to see what it’s like, wouldn’t you?”
“But not at the risk of losing you. I don’t want to lose you.”
“You wouldn’t lose me. I’m telling you you can and should. You’re not cheating on me. You love me, right?”
“More than anything.”
“Even if the sex is better than you expect, do you think those feelings about me are going to change? That you’ll suddenly become a lesbian and want to leave?”
“I don’t believe that, no. But I don’t know what would happen any more than you do. Plus, it’s got as much chance of fucking Chloe up as making her feel better.”
“She already had sex with Elaine. Did that fuck her up?”
“I’m sure she felt guilty, just as I would have felt fucking some other man a few days after Robert died. Just because she hasn’t been bemoaning it, doesn’t mean she doesn’t regret it.”
“She’s sleeping naked in our bed. We’re a replacement for Monica in that sense. This is just a little bit more.”
“What are you getting out of this? Do you want to watch?”
“No. I’m not saying I wouldn’t enjoy it, but that’s not the reason. I wouldn’t expect to be there watching you have sex. I just hope it helps her is all. I still care for her. I care for you. I’m not worried about our relationship.”
“Would you do this for Marty if he lost Yolanda. How far are you willing to go for your friends? How far do you expect me to go?”
“No. Chloe is it. I wouldn’t want you doing this for anyone else but her.”
“Just once, or am I on the hook any other time she wants sex? What if I don’t like it?”
“Don’t overthink this. It’s simple really. You get to find out what it’s like to fuck a girl and Chloe gets a little comfort. If you don’t like it, you don’t ever do it again. I certainly wouldn’t dream of trying to make you do something you didn’t like. If you enjoy it, maybe you do it more than once or maybe once is enough. Who knows, a few more times might be needed, depending on how you both feel afterwards.”
“I feel like you’re pimping me out.”
“I get that but you know that’s not the case. This would just be friends helping out a friend in need. I know you feel as badly for her as I do.”
“And you’re completely okay with the concept of me having sex with a person not yourself, and are willing to face whatever consequences might come of it?”
“What consequences?”
“The ones we don’t know about. The ones I warned Beth about. The ones that jump up and bite you in the ass because they were unforeseen. I could guess at some. I like it so much I decide a woman is who I want to be with. That it makes Chloe feel worse about herself and not better. That we end up hurting our relationship because it bothers you more than you think it would. That we fuck up all three of our relationships to the point we don’t speak to each other.”
“Do you think any of those things are going to occur?”
“Not particularly, but they might. Chloe already feels she stuck a dagger in your heart the first time she had sex with a woman. This time, it would be sex with your woman. Even worse in her mind. She said so herself.”
“Then, she was cheating on me, not being honest about our relationship. Now, it’s not. She has my blessing to have sex with you.”
“You need to tell her she has your blessing.”
“If it comes to that, I will. So we’re playing the odds that none of those bad things will happen and we’re doing a good thing for someone we both care about.”
“I can’t believe we’re talking about this.”
“I know. I’m a little surprised myself, but I’m okay with it. Imagining you with another man makes me dark inside, but imagining you helping Chloe makes me feel good.”
“I’m not ready to do it now. I want to think about this some more. I may decide we’re crazy for even contemplating this, so don’t try and pressure me. Let me work it out on my own. If I decide to do it, I’ll tell you and you can tell Chloe.”
“I’m good with that.”
“Is that another erection?”
“You can see it is.”
“Did you get it because you’re thinking of me having sex with Chloe?”
“It’s not the only reason, though it does play a part. Watching your well fucked naked body is also a part of it.”
“Then our discussion was at least good for one thing, because damn if I don’t want to feel that bad boy in me again.”
“Is that partly because you’re thinking of sex with Chloe?”
“You bastard. Yes. Somewhat. Fuck you!”
“I’m waiting.”
“Fuck you and the horse you rode in on!”
“Still waiting for the fucking part,” Matt laughed. “You can leave the horse out of it.”
Dianne smiled and mounted him and easily slid down over his thick prick. Criminy, that felt good. Five orgasms later, four of Dianne’s and one of Matt’s, they got up, showered, dressed, and looked for food.
