An Unexpected Family

Jack rolled over and let Emily finish her orgasm lying on her back. Marcy and Diane rose to their knees with huge grins on their face, waiting for Jack’s next move. Jack jumped from the bed, grasped Diane by the waist and flipped her onto her tummy. She yelped in faux surprise and giggled.

He laid down on top of her and breathed hot breath on her face and neck. His slick condom covered cock resting in the crook of her ass crack, tapping the base of her spine.

“Here we are again, Diane,” he whispered, enough to let Marcy hear also. He reached under to her chest and pawed her left breast, placing her aroused nipple between his finger and thumb. “Taking liberties with my generosity again, are we? You trick me into letting you in my room and you seduce me with two of your hot and gorgeous friends,” Jack growled, in her ear. “OK… Again, I’m gonna let you off the hook, but, I’m going to mark you for it, you naughty counselor. The safe words are ‘First base.’ Say it.”

Diane and Marcy, simultaneously growled, “First base.”

Jack pinched and twisted Diane’s left nipple. “Shit, Jack! That hurts!” she yelped. “Do it again!”

Jack applied the same treatment to her right tit. “Fuck! … Damn it!,” she huffed. Then recovered. “Git off my back and fuck me, Jack!”

Jack flipped her over on her back in a flash. He winked at Marcy and lined his cock up with Diane’s little kitty. “How do you want it, Diane? Nice and slow?”

“Fuck no! Make me cum, Jack. Make me cum only the way you can make me. Show these girls what a man you are.”

He slowly wiggled his thick woody into her slick entrance and paused when he was fully involved. Diane rolled her eyes back at the intrusion. “God, Jack… You feel so good… Now start fucking me silly!”

By now, Emily was next to Diane, watching Jack pummel Diane’s bald puss. “Yes, Jack! Don’t you dare stop! Oh, God you’re good. You’re sexy Jack… So, so good.” Her words were pleading and staccato.

Jack was standing next to the bed fucking Diane with her legs wrapped around his waist and her shoulders on the bed. He had a good angle on her. Her tiny breasts wobbled across her chest, turning Jack into a sexual machine. He groaned and growled with each wiggle of her breasts. “You are hot, Diane. Fuckin’ sexy,” he growled.

Emily reached over and began strumming Diane’s little nerve button like a guitar. Before Jack knew it, Diane was arching off the bed with her eyes rolled back into her head… quivering all over Jack’s stiffie and waist.

“Damn, Jack,” Marcy growled, as she pushed Diane over to the side. “Now me!” Jack lined up on her and slowly invaded her entrance fully… pausing at the end. “Ooooooooo. Nice, Jack. You really fill me up. You can start anytime. Don’t be gentle. I like it… FUCK!”

Jack interrupted her with an immediate medium fast stroking pace on her gooey pussy. He reached over and pulled on her right tit until she squelched. “Nice tits, Marcy. I like how they roll around on your chest. Hot… very hot and sexy and… Erotic. Oh, Emily… While you were cumming over there, the safe words are ‘First base.’ Diane and I like it a little rough. If it gets too rough for you, use the…”

“OH, JACK! … FUCK!” Marcy slurred with her interruption. “I’M CUMMMMM…” Marcy rolled her eyes back into her head and arched her back from the bed. Jack tossed Marcy to the side and swept Emily into his grasp. Drilling his brown eyes into hers, just millimeters apart, he growled in a deep and devil like voice, “How about it, Emily? Do you Canadians like it a little rough?”

“If you make me cum like you did Diane and Marcy, Hell Yeah! My turn!”

“How do you want me to fuck you, you cute little Maple Leaf? Front, back, upside down, sideways?”

Emily pushed Jack away, turned on the bed with hands and knees planted, and wiggled her ass at him. “From behind… I’ll be cumming in… FUCK!”

Emily felt a thick dick impale her like no other dick before. This cock was touching every sensitive nerve within her. It felt like he was tapping her brain stem. No other man before Jack had been able to achieve what Jack was doing to her this very moment. She felt like she would cum any moment now. Her pelvic muscles went into overdrive, massaging his stiff wood. Jack began a medium fast pace, holding her hips steady for his strokes. When he let go of her hips, Emily growled and began pushing herself toward him… grinding against him with full penetration… fucking herself on is fat dick. Jack leaned over her back, kissed her shoulder, and clinched some flesh with his teeth until he tasted blood. “Shit, Jack. That is so hot. Hurts, but…”

Within moments, she was quivering and collapsed on the bed. Jack followed her down with his dick still inside her and began pummeling her tight, quivering, orgasmic kitty. His knees outside her hips.

Emily squeaked and grasped the bedsheets in an attempt to hang on to her orgasm. “Oh, God, Jack! Please… Don’t stop … UGH? … Fuuuuuuuuuuccccccckkkk,” Emily strangled on her last word. Jack grasped her short hair in his fist… craning her head and neck to his lips. “Are you cumming, woman? That was fast.” He kissed her hard.

He released her, walked over to Diane, crawled into the bed and hovered over her. “You ready, Diane? I swear, Diane. You’re one hot lawyer. You make my blood boil when you kiss me. You make me lose all self-control when I fuck you, too. I’m going to cum inside you first.”

Diane only answered with a soft nod and lidded eyes. “Good!” he growled.

He lined himself up, wiggled his dick into her tight kitty and held it there. He reached down to her wanton kitty and squeezed her clit with his fingers.

“JESUS!” Diane squealed as she arched herself toward him. She grasped around his neck and pulled him down on top of her. Jack grasped her legs and knees and pushed them toward her head and began pumping her little kitty in a blur. “Jack… You feel so good,” she whimpered. He growled and went for the flesh near her shoulder. He clinched his teeth on her until he tasted blood. “Mark me, Jack! You fuckin’ bastard! Fuck my little… JESUS!” Diane rolled her eyes back and yanked his neck into her shoulder, attempting to squeeze the life out of him. Jack increased his pace on her puss and within seconds, she passed out.

“Damn, Jack! You killed her!” Marcy squealed in disbelief.

With those words, Jack had his release.

“FUCK!… Aaarrrrrrrgggggg! Ah! … Damn you’re tight! … Shit! … Diane, I love it when you cum on me.” When he completed his last mini orgasm, he grasped his condom to keep it from sliding off and rolled to the side near Marcy. Marcy straddled his legs, removed the condom, tied it off, tossed it to the side, leaned over and began licking and sucking his cum covered cock. “Mmm,” she sighed, as she licked her lips and fingers. She slapped a new condom on his still firm and throbbing cock. She dismounted the bed, yanked on his hand to pull him up from the bed.

“Fuck me standing up,” she ordered. She positioned herself pressed solidly against the floor to ceiling window overlooking the bright lights of Los Angeles… her tits pressed against the glass… her face turned sideways; her cheek against the glass. Jack snatched her right hip and, the lefty he is, lined his cock up with her drooling pussy… driving it excruciatingly slow into her quivering tunnel.

“So good, Jack. Diane didn’t exaggerate with you… you’re perfect… Oh!” she squelched as he tapped her cervix. Slowly, and methodically, he fucked her. Pressing her cheek and tits into the glass with his left hand on her upper back… holding her steady with his other hand on her hip. He fucked her for the next 30 minutes… She arched onto her toes… He, pausing only when she went into a quivering orgasm, then resuming fucking her drooling and leaking pussy. He looked to his right to see Diane and Emily on the bed in a sideways 69. A few minutes later, the two vixens were making out with each other, and Emily was pulling on Diane’s nipple. Four orgasms from Marcy … she called time out.

Emily leapt from the bed… “Now me!” With the same methodical care, he fucked Emily against the pane of glass for the next 30 minutes… pausing briefly after each of her five orgasms. He watched Diane making out with Marcy as she recovered… thinking it was hot to see the two friends going at it. It was a first for him… to see two women going at each other. Before he finished with Emily, Marcy was sucking on Diane’s pussy and Diane was writhing all over the bed.

After Emily’s final, and explosive, screaming orgasm, he pushed Marcy off Diane, slipped his cock into the blonde’s bald puss and placed his head next to her face… slowly, and methodically, fucking her.

“Diane… you are the hottest woman I’ve ever met,” he whispered into her ear.

She replied, “Holy fuck,” and began quivering beneath his weight. Her toes curled… her legs squeezed his waist… she dug her fingernails into his back and neck… her eyes rolling back into her head. He snatched her left leg and crooked into his elbow and fucked her for the next 25 minutes… pulling out seven orgasms from the petite and sexy blonde. He could hear Emily and Marcy making out with each other… both of them moaning and sighing out their pleasures. After Diane’s last orgasm, he leapt from the bed and stood over Diane to admire his lover. She was quaking in the fetal position while her eyes rolled back into her head… he could see her pussy was convulsing, twitching, and pulsing between her legs… “Hot,” he mumbled.

Emily pounced on her and began caressing Diane to ease her into the world of the living. “Good God, Jack,” Diane mumbled. “I never… I never… yeah.” Emily giggled at Diane’s incomplete sentence.

Jack… near exhaustion, lay on the edge of the bed to catch his breath…

Marcy crawled up Jack’s prone and athletic body, raking her fingernails along the way. She kissed him and bit his lip to draw blood. She began dragging her half furry and trimmed kitty back and forth along the length of Jack’s half mast wood.

“Jack… you’re one hot sex god… Oh!” Marcy whispered into his ear. “I don’t believe I’ve ever seen Diane like that before… Jesus, you’re thick… And for me, I’ve never cum so hard on a dick. You made Diane pass out just now. I expect the same from you tonight.”

Emily leapt over Diane and cuddled against Jack. “Me too,” she cooed, into his ear.

“OK, girls. Emily, you cute little Canadian… I’ll start with you first. It’ll take at least 40 to 60 minutes of steady fucking for that to happen. Caressing, biting, licking, sucking, squeezing, and pawing to go along with it. Diane is an exception. I know where her off switch is located.” He chuckled.

Turning his head to Marcy, he whispered, “I’m going to save you for last. My cock lurched in my pants when I laid eyes on you. I thought by pants zipper was going to burst. Those long legs of yours? Yeah, I want them wrapped around me the remainder of the night.”

Marcy nodded her approval with the most devilish smile he had ever seen, and kissed him.

Jeez, that smile. I think I’m in trouble, he thought.

With that, Emily mounted Jack and hovered her pussy above his lips. He didn’t need to be told what to do. He grabbed her ass and hip and slurped her oozing crease from top to bottom… bottom to top… inhaling the aroma of her arousal… pausing to suck, lick, and nibble her swollen clit… his cock began to swell. Primal thoughts entered his soul. Emily grabbed the headboard and began raking her needy pussy across his lips.

“Fuuuuck,” she slurred, in a deep tone. “So good, Jack.”

Jack felt his cock snatched by a petite hand… slippery lips and tongue engulfed his dick. He couldn’t see who it was… wait… it’s both Marcy and Diane. He felt four hands and two tongues having their way with his cock and balls. “Fuckin’ A,” he mumbled into Emily’s pussy.

Five minutes later, he rolled Emily over onto her back and positioned between her legs… “You ready?” he groaned. She answered by pulling his swollen dick to her entrance and pulled on his hip.

“Yes,” she groaned, as she flailed her head back… her eyes clinched shut… enjoying his thickness. He took her left leg, crooked it in his elbow and leaned over onto her chest. His lips just millimeters from her ear. He slowly… methodically… focusing… raking her g-spot with short, well placed strokes.

“HOLY FUCK!” She drew out each word in a cry, as she snatched the back of his head and pulled his face into her neck. Her eyes rolled back into her head as her other hand raked fingernails across his upper back. She humped against him to match his strokes. She moaned, groaned, sighed, squeaked, squelched, screeched, and came six times in the next 17 minutes. Each orgasm… quaking beneath him… her feet straight in the air around his hips… her toes curled. He whispered into her ear the entire time… encouraging her to let go and enjoy… hissing “Yes,” into her neck each time she orgasmed.

*****

Jack swung his legs over the edge of the bed, stood, and stretched… long and hard… and looked out the huge floor to ceiling, plate glass window of his corner hotel suite. The Pacific Ocean could be seen in the far distance in a foggy, early morning haze.

After enjoying the brief scene, he gazed upon Marcy in his bed, who was having aftershocks from the orgasm he helped her achieve. He smiled when he considered her goddess like nakedness. She pleaded with him, just moments ago, to get off of her… She couldn’t stand it anymore, she said. He turned to go into the living area, avoiding the tied-off condoms on the floor, and found a naked Diane asleep on the love seat. A naked Emily was asleep on the couch… right where he left her when he fucked her until she passed out.

Standing there considering the scene before him, he turned back toward the bed and admired the scene there for a second time.

Humming in satisfaction, Marcy began curling up with sheets to go to sleep. “Damn, that woman can fuck,” he mumbled. Jack had applied every technique Diane had taught him, and some he thought he would try, yet Marcy never passed out like the other two had done. But, she did cum. And hard, too. He stopped counting her orgasms at 14. The three times he released with her, she was on him like a tick, bringing him back to life with the best cock sucking he had ever experienced. When he returned her oral favors between her legs… every time he touched her swollen clit with his lips and tongue, she went off like a short fused firecracker.

There was a moment during their explorations of each other, where he seriously thought she was going to kill him. Once, she rode his lap so hard and fast, huffing hot breath into his neck and drilling her fingernails into his flesh, he thought she would tear his dick from his waist. Yet, he endured, and he had never seen a woman cum so hard in his life as a result. Her screams of pleasure rattled the heavy floor to ceiling windows. He feared hotel management would soon complain but, they never knocked on the door, or called his room.

He removed his spent condom, tied it off, and tossed it aside. He shuffled over to the desk, picked up his watch, and looked at the time… 6:57 am Pacific.

“Shit!!!”

He went to the shower, let it steam up, and began brushing his teeth at the sink. I’ll shave in the shower, he thought. He grabbed his razor and stepped into the shower.

“God, that feels good,” he mumbled, as the refreshing warm water drenched his head and body. He had fucked women so much, he had reddened sores on both sides of his dick. It hurt. He would put antibiotic ointment on it after he soaped and cleaned his dick. He carried the ointment in his travel kit.

Jack hadn’t slept in nearly 24 hours. He had just finished shaving and rinsing his hair, when he felt two tiny hands wrap around his waist and caress his cock from behind. A soft and feminine body squeezed herself firmly against his back, and hummed her satisfaction.

With the warm water cascading over him, he slowly turned to face his comforter.

“You… are… incredible, Jack Caron. A Texas God. You get better and better every time we hook up.”

Diane looked up to his eyes from her 5 feet 3 inch petite frame, struggling to smile, due to her own lack of sleep for the past 3 days.

“Thank you… I give you all the credit. You taught me everything,” he mused. “And, you Diane. I have never experienced a more passionate lover. You drive me wild when we touch. When we kiss.”

“You’re a star student, Jack,” she giggled. “After what I saw last night, you’ll have to block Emily’s and Marcy’s calls.” She laughed a little too hard. “That Marcy is some cowgirl, isn’t she? I’ve never seen her ride anyone like I saw her ride you. She was amazing. And you were, too, Jack. When she fell off you in a seizure, Emily jumped on like it was no big deal to you.”

“I did ENJOY them both… and I especially enjoyed you. You’re special to me, Diane. I mean it,” Jack whispered. “I hate to kiss and run, but, I’m late for my flight. Help me make the flight? Please?”

“Absolutely… IF… you call me when you return to Kansas City. I want to compare notes with you,” she giggled. “What do you need?”

Chapter 33

“Jack! We saw you on TV last night. You were fantastic. Daddy told me this morning you were the Most Valuable Player. Amazing!”

Jack called Bérénice in the taxi on his way to the airport. He was running late and likely would have to sprint to the gate.

“Thank you, Bérénice. Before the game, I just wanted an experience I would remember. You know, like a base hit or a stolen base. I don’t know what Reese was thinking when he threw that slider. It didn’t break as much as I know he can. It was too fat not to hit it. And McCombs. He practically hit the ball into my glove. It was too easy.”

Bérénice chuckled. “Jack, you make it sound like they gave you the MVP.”

“They both owed me money,” he mused. Bérénice giggled.

“Bérénice, I was thinking of you before the game. I remember you told me you are going to a play with your friends. I have an idea I would like for you to think about. The Royals play the Rangers the first weekend in August. If you and your friends are interested, I’ll pay for you to drive to Arlington, stay in a hotel, go shopping, dining, whatever fun you want. Raines and Pendleton are from Texas, too. They asked me if I would be interested in renting a suite for a game so our families could have fun. I have already talked Mom and Dad into being there. Come with them. Please?”

Bérénice didn’t know what to say. “The expense. It must be a fortune.”

“Not really. Raines, Pendleton and I are working together with our assistant to get great prices at the hotel. I got a nice check for the All Star game. It wasn’t much, but, it would pay for it all. If I don’t spend it on you, Mom and Dad, I’ll just put it into a mutual fund. Boring.”

He paused. “Think about it, Bérénice. Talk to your friends. Bring their husbands, too, if you want. I have a feeling they will talk you in to it. Please… Come see me.”

“OK,” she replied, with some hesitation. “I’ll call Marie and Louise. I’ll let you know.”

Chapter 34

I hope she can come, he thought, after he hung up the call. He felt his feelings for Bérénice becoming strong. He felt a sense of responsibility and… Love for her. Desire to have her.

“God, I want her,” he mumbled in the back seat of the taxi.

His thoughts turned to the previous night. He thought himself fortunate to have a great All Star game. And, he did think it was too easy.

Then, his thoughts turned to the women who were still in his suite. Before he left the suite, he wrote each of them a nice note, thanking them, and he had fun. Diane had fallen back to sleep, cuddled up with Marcy, so he left each note on the desk with their names on the outside.

He stopped by the Concierge desk before leaving the hotel. He ordered flowers, with each of the women’s names, and 3 orders of the luxury breakfast with coffee, tea, and juice. He insisted all of it be delivered to his suite simultaneously within an hour. The cute young woman behind the desk guaranteed it would happen. He also told her, that if his guests wanted to stay another night in his suite, to place the charges on his credit card on file. He signed the orders he made, smiled, peeled off three $100 bills from his money clip and told her one of the bills was for the men and women who delivered to the room. The other two bills were for her. He winked to her and ran for a taxi. The Concierge congratulated him while he ran away. He smiled to himself as he ran… For the game, or for the night he will never forget with Emily, Marcy, and Diane. He chuckled.

He then called the airline and upgraded his ticket to first class. He needed sleep… Bad.

And… he needed to speak to Diane about his feelings for Bérénice.

Chapter 35

“Jack! That was a great series in Boston. What’s the deal with turning another triple? Luck must be following you like a shadow.”

“Thanks, Diane,” Jack replied. “Thank you for lunch, too. I like our lunches together.”

He leaned over to kiss her and took a seat across from her.

“Tell me about the triple play. I didn’t see it, but, I heard about it from my assistant.”

He smirked, and shook his head before he replied.

“The triple at the All Star game was too easy. McCombs nearly hit it into my glove. When I threw it too third, I wasn’t thinking triple… I was thinking… get the lead runner. Royce and Ruiz did all the work. I just stepped back 5 steps and caught the ball for the third out. The one in Boston was too easy, too. Probably the easiest of all triple plays. Runners on first and second with no outs. Ochoa hits the ball into my glove, for the first out… I step on first base for the second out, catching the runner off the base with his lead. Then, I throw it to second base for the same caught off base third out. Morris was waiting for the throw on second and tagged the runner. It took less than five seconds.”

Diane laughed at his new found fortune for starting triple plays.

“I’ll tell you someone else who thinks they’re lucky. Marcy and Emily. They call me every day asking about you. That was so sweet of you leaving notes, flowers, and breakfast for us. I think they’re in love.”

Jack shook his head, too. “I’ve had several calls from both of them. Emily is telling me she can’t wait to see me when we go to Toronto next month. I hate Toronto. Not because of Emily. How old is she anyway? She looks… very young.”

Diane giggled. “She just turned twenty one. She was carded quickly the night we had drinks at the hotel,” she replied, with a tilt of her head.

Jack dipped his chin, gathered courage and faced his hostess.

“Diane,” he began. “I enjoyed your company in Los Angeles, along with Emily and Marcy. But…”

“Uh-oh,” Diane interrupted. “I sense the tone of lover’s regret.” She tilted her head the other way.

They were interrupted by the waiter with their drinks.

Jack continued, “Diane, I have no regrets meeting you. I have no regrets with what we have shared together. I am so, so grateful for your patience and teaching me how to be a good lover.” He dipped his head again, faced Diane, and continued, “I’m not certain I want to live the lifestyle you live. You know… more than one lover. Don’t get me wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed the interactions we had with Marcy and Emily. It was a first time for me… More than one woman at the same time. And, I have no regrets for the experience. But, there were times that evening, that my mind kept telling me, this was not what I wanted.” He paused to focus his next words. “Since Robert died, I’ve had frequent thoughts of my own future. A wife and children. I’m afraid if I accept offers like you gave me that night, it will compromise my desire to settle down, so to speak. To lose focus on what I really want.”

“Are you breaking up with me, Jack?” Diane asked.

“No! No! I enjoy what we are doing right now. Speaking openly and candidly to each other.” He paused. “I do want to discuss the prospect of us… no longer being lovers. I want to call you one of my very best friends. Not my lover.”

Jack saw the deep disappointment her eyes. They began to water.

“Have you met someone, Jack? A woman for settling down?” she asked.

“No, I haven’t,” he replied.

Diane noticed a tone in his reply. It confused her for a moment or two before she starting putting the puzzle together.

She tilted her head a little and had a confused look on her face. She sized up Jack’s emotions in his face. Then, the light came on…

“Would I be wrong if I guessed you are in love with your sister in law?” she asserted.

Jack felt the lump in his throat appear out of nowhere. He never suspected Diane would guess he was in love with Bérénice.

They were interrupted by the waiter, and Jack begged a delay, so he could continue with Diane.

Jack clasped his hands together and placed his chin on top of them. A tear began to fall upon his cheek and Diane saw it.

“Diane, I respect you too much not to tell you the truth. To begin, I don’t know what my emotions are trying to tell me right now… With Bérénice and the death of Robert. I hoped I have hidden my emotions well, but Robert’s death has devastated me inside. It’s like my soul is not complete. Robert was my very best friend since I can remember. We did everything together. He made it a point to include me in everything. When he met Bérénice in grade school, they became inseparable. But, Robert included me in their life together. We went to the movies, church, fishing, everything… together.”

He paused to wipe a tear from his cheek. Then he gathered courage.

“I have been in love with Bérénice since I was fifteen.” He paused to let Diane consider his words.

“When they left for college, my senior year in high school was the worst year of my life. I lost the two people I loved the most. Mom noticed. She told me we are growing up and that each of us had to find our own path for our future. But, my heart ached for both of them.”

He paused to sniffle and to let his emotions calm a little. Diane saw the waiter approach again and she waved him away.

“When I saw Bérénice after Robert’s death, the emotional connection reappeared instantly when we laid eyes on each other. We both knew we needed each other again.” He paused to wipe away a tear. He looked up to find Diane weeping, too.

“I have called Bérénice often, as she asked. I have called her mother nearly every day, to gauge how Bérénice is handling Robert’s death and to determine her needs so I could help. Amazingly, she is slowly accepting the loss of Robert. The bad days are becoming fewer and fewer, according to her mother. I sense a happiness returning to her voice when I call.” He paused to regather his courage and emotions.

“Diane, I have never in my life, been so emotionally insecure, as I am this very moment. I am in love with Bérénice. I want to be with her. But a voice replies that I can’t; she is still grieving. Another voice is telling me, right now, that I am about to lose you, too. As a friend. And I don’t want to lose you as a friend.”

He paused and found tears streaming down Diane’s face.

“Circumstances may change in the months to come. But, right now; when her mother tells me it is time, I have decided to court Bérénice. I am preparing myself for when the time comes; beginning now.”

He rose from his chair, knelt at her side, and took Diane into his arms. They held each other for a few moments and she begged him to stand; so she could stand and hold him closer and tighter.

They never ordered lunch.

Jack asked her for a lunch date for another time, and she accepted. With that, he kissed her softly, turned, and left.

Chapter 36

Jack was standing outside the hotel when his family and Bérénice’s family pulled up to the entrance. He was smiling as wide as the double doors to the hotel. His mother practically jumped from the barely rolling pickup truck to leap into her son’s arms.

“I love you, Mom. Thank you for being here. I have missed you so much,” he said. He shook his father’s hand and hugged him as well. Then, Bérénice stepped from her parent’s Suburban. Jack smiled ever wider.

She was wearing a royal blue sundress with white sandals. Her black as night hair was pulled back into a messy ponytail. Stands of hair along the side were touching her face and neck. Tall and slender, she still held onto her athletic, but, feminine build from her volleyball days at Baylor. Her nearly black eyes found Jack’s.

The connection reappeared.

Jack was wearing a custom tailored dark blue business suit and a royal blue tie; his usual traveling attire. His athletic build set him apart from other men. And he was handsome. Dark hair, dark eyes, well-groomed. Bérénice had never seen him so handsome.

They each walked briskly toward one another and embraced; for over a minute. Jack whispered, “I’ve missed you.”

“I have missed you, Jack. You can’t imagine how much I’ve missed you.”

“Mommy!”

Bérénice released Jack with tears of joy in her eyes. She wiped them away, while trying to giggle.

Jack bent to one knee and picked up Patrice. “How’s my little princess? I’ve missed you.”

He shook hands with Mr. Ouellet and hugged Mrs. Ouellet. Mrs. Landry, his former math teacher in school, walked up with John in hand. “You look fantastic, Jack. I’m proud of you.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Landry. I didn’t expect to see you.” He hugged her.

“Mrs. Landry volunteered to watch the children,” Bérénice offered. “I used your card to buy her a room. It’s OK, isn’t it?”

“Absolutely! Always!” Jack set Patrice down, reached into his pocket, removed his money clip, peeled off $300, and handed it to Mrs. Landry.

“Meals for you and the children,” he offered. “Maybe a movie. A taxi if you want to get away. Order anything you want from room service and place it on the room charges. If you need more, tell Bérénice. Anything that will make you and the children comfortable. I don’t want any bad experiences for you, Mrs. Landry. You’re a blessing right now.”

“Thank you, Jack. Wow,” she replied, in surprise, holding the unexpected bills in hand.

“Jack,” Bérénice giggled. “Someone wants to meet you.”

She took his hand and led him to the Suburban. She reached in and released Amélie from her car seat. She kissed her cheek and announced, “Amélie, this is your Uncle Jack.”

Jack beamed when Bérénice placed Amélie into his arms. “She’s so beautiful. Like her mother. Look at those wide eyes. You’re right, Bérénice; they do look like Robert’s eyes.” He looked up toward Bérénice and she was weeping with tears of joy. She took his arm and hugged him to herself.

Suddenly, a comforting warmth raced through Jack and Bérénice. Their eyes widen to each other.

“I think I just felt Robert’s presence,” he whispered.

“Me, too. Isn’t it wonderful?” she sobbed.

“It’s going to be hard to give Amélie back, Bérénice.”

Chapter 37

The game was a little disappointing. The Royals lost to the Rangers, 6-1.

Jack scored the lone run. He singled, and then stole second base. Raines drove him in with a double to left center field.

The Royals had no fielding errors, and Clyde Harris was throwing better than he had all year. The runs the Rangers scored were all earned. Three of the runs came as a result of a home run.

Despite the lost, the Royals were leading the Central Division by 8 games over the Twins. They needed to continued playing their game for two more months to make the playoffs.

Bérénice, her parents, her in laws, and friends thoroughly enjoyed the private suite Jack rented. And, they were grateful for the hotel and meals Jack paid for. Bérénice stayed up late after the game and left a message on Jack’s phone to call her when he arrived at the hotel.

“Come to my room, Jack… Please?” she said, when he called.

When Jack entered her room, he was a little surprised the children weren’t present. She was still wearing her Royals jersey, with number 7 and Caron across the back, and blue jeans from the game.

“I’ve missed you, Jack. I just wanted to spend some time with you before we leave.”

Jack took her into his arms and hugged her. “I’ve missed you, Bérénice. Where are the kids?”

“They’re staying with Mrs. Landry. I asked her. I told her I wanted to spend some time with you. I think she understood,” she mused.

She snuggled tighter into his arms, and laid her head on his shoulder and hummed her satisfaction.

“Jack?” she whispered. “I’m going to ask you something. Something I’ve never done before.” She paused. “Stay with me? Stay with me tonight. I need you to hold me… all night.”

She didn’t wait for an answer. She released him, went into the bathroom, and closed the door. Jack heard the shower come on. He took off his tie and coat and draped them over the back of a chair. After getting a bottle of water from the mini-fridge, he settled into the lounge chair to relax.

Thirty minutes later, Bérénice emerged from the bathroom with a tentative grin on her lips. She was wearing loose, off-white satin pajamas; top and bottom. All of her makeup had been removed and Jack thought she was beautiful. As she approached Jack, her breasts wiggled against the shiny fabric. She turned her back to him to pull the covers down on the bed and fluffed the pillows. Jack noticed her athletic buns wiggling inside her pajama bottoms as she faced away from him.

She turned to face him and offered her hand to join her. She smiled a little wider.

Jack rose from the chair and as he took her into his arms, he asked, “Are you sure?”

“I’ve been planning this for over a week, Jack. I need you to just hold me. And let me hold you.”

With that, she began helping him undress. She hung up his shirt and suit in the closet and then slipped into bed. She admired his athletic frame as he stood before her in his boxer shorts; she grinned. That is one well-built man, she thought.

“I set the alarm for 5:30. I don’t want Mama and Daddy to know you were here. OK?”

Jack nodded and slipped into the other side of the bed.

Bérénice scooted to his side of the king size bed and took his face into her hands.

“Jack,” she began, as she roamed and admired his handsome face with her exotic black eyes. “Just cuddling tonight, OK? I need a man’s arms to hold me. Your arms.” She giggled. Then, her smile left her face as she looked directly at his lips with her exotic eyes. She slowly took his lips against hers and closed her eyes. A moment or two later, she probed his lips with her tongue. Jack took her into his arms firmly and returned her kiss.

Jack broke the kiss first. “I will be here when you ask… always.”

He then encouraged her to turn her back to him so they could spoon. He reached around her waist and held her tummy. She placed her hand on top of his.

A few moments later, Bérénice began laughing.

“Jack, I said cuddling. You’re … poking me on my back side,” she giggled.

Jack started laughing, too. “A side effect of a hot and gorgeous woman in my arms.”

Bérénice laughed while she turned around to face him, placing her arms around him. “OK,” she whispered. “I’m hot?”

“Yes. Gorgeous, too,” he whispered. “Now, give me a few minutes and my dick will settle down for the night. Or, the big spoon can lie on top of the little spoon. Or, I can lie on my back and you can drape your legs across mine. You can rest your head on my chest. Your choice.”

She laughed, turned her back to him and replied, “Little spoon on top of the big one. Cuddle me… close.”

He turned on his right side, reached around her waist again and cuddled against her back. She took his left hand and brought it to her right breast, outside the pajama top, and held it there with her hand.

“Mmm,” she cooed. “Hold me, Jack. Good night.”

A few minutes later, Bérénice could hear Jack’s breathing change.

Chapter 38

Jack woke up before Bérénice’s phone alarm went off. He was facing away from her, lying half way on his stomach and left side. Bérénice was draped across him with her arm and leg. He could hear a soft snore from her lips.

Surprisingly, Jack left her bed without waking her, but she did stir and rolled to her other side, resuming her soft snore. Jack snatched his clothes and took them to the bathroom to dress. He picked up his watch from the desk and found it was 4:47 am. He had been asleep for almost 4 hours. He wrote a note, asking to have lunch with her and her family in the hotel dining room, and left it in the bathroom so she would see it. He signed the note with … “I love you.”

He quietly left her room.

Instead of going to his room, he left the hotel and walked two blocks to an IHOP. He was starving. He thought he would avoid coffee and get more sleep when he returned to the hotel. As he was seated, he looked across the dining room and saw two familiar faces. He rose from his seat and went to say hello.

“Jack! Join us,” Clyde Harris said, as he gestured to a chair facing him and his wife, Marion.

As he kissed Marion on the cheek, Jack thought, she has to be the sexist woman on the planet. He had met Marion on several occasions, particularly after games when Marion was waiting for Clyde. Like Clyde, Marion was African American, 5 feet 10 inches tall and Jack considered, if she were less slender, she would be too skinny. This early morning she was wearing a feminine three quarter sleeved Royals t-shirt… she had cropped it just below her small breasts. He could see just a peek of her white bra at the edge. She was wearing white and tight, above the waist, three quarter length leggings, and a pair of royal blue flats. Her shirt and leggings showed off her soft curves and screamed sex appeal.

She had a new hair style since Jack saw her last. Her hair was styled into long tight curls; too many to count, and parted down the middle. It was a different take on the Afro style, and Jack thought she wore the new style very well. It was cute.

She had the highest cheek bones Jack had ever seen, and her dark brown eyes were almond shaped; nearly oriental-like.

“You’re up early, Jack,” Clyde offered, as he gestured to the waiter.

“Yeah, I woke up a few minutes ago, starving. After something to eat, I’m going back to bed until lunch. You’re up early yourself,” Jack smirked.

“Haven’t been to sleep yet, right Marion?” he replied, with a wiggle of his eyebrow.

She replied with an eyebrow wiggle of her own. “We have friends in the DFW area,” she offered. “He… just left. You must have passed him on the way in.” She arched her eyebrow to Jack with a smirk.

Jack took note of Marion’s emphasis with the words, “friends” and “he,” and imagined what the three of them had been up to.

After the waiter took Jack’s order, Marion spoke up, “Jack, Diane Fitzpatrick called me a week or so, ago. She told me about your lunch meeting with her at the country club. Well, not everything, but, enough to tell her feelings were hurt.”

Jack paused to gather his thoughts. “Yeah,” he replied. Then, he paused again. “First, let me say, I consider Diane a very good friend, and I told her so. I also told her, I wish to remain a good friend to her. I told her, since my brother died, I’ve been thinking about settling down. You know… a wife and children. And, I said that now was a time to begin realizing my needs. I know her feelings were hurt when I told her. I’m serious, Marion. My feelings are hurt, too. I will never forget her. She changed my life when I met her… in a good way.”

Marion smiled. “Wow, Jack. Now I know why Diane has been so gloomy. Don’t worry, she’s getting better and she’ll be fine. She’s been spending a lot of time with her friend, Marcy… and, some other friends she knows… very well.” She glanced at Clyde with the last emphasis and winked.

Jack arched an eyebrow.

“Jack, I’m happy for you. The settling down part,” Marion offered. She looked around to make sure no one was nearby to overhear. “I have to say this to you… I can’t help it. Diane didn’t give me any details, but, she did lead me to believe… well… how loving you are.” She giggled and paused to gauge Jack’s reaction. Jack furled his eyebrows. “I know Clyde has told you about us, and Diane. And I hinted a few minutes ago… about our friend. I asked Clyde if you would be interested in… you know… some fun. He told me he wasn’t interested because you two are teammates. And, he’s right. We don’t play with teammates. But, if I were to break that rule… Well… It would be with you.” She winked at him.

She leaned back in her chair and smiled as wide as the table in front of them. She got the reaction she wanted from Jack and chuckled.

Jack’s mouth fell open. Clyde turned to him and wiggled an approving eyebrow. A moment or two later, the two of them rose from their seats to leave.

“What time will you be at the ballpark?” Clyde asked. “I want to warm up with you today.”

“About 2,” Jack replied. “I’m going over the recent scouting reports for the pitchers and batters. We can warm up about 3:30 before the game starts at 6.”

“Great,” Clyde replied.

Jack rose from his seat as Marion approached him. She leaned in to whisper in his ear, “Jack, if you change your mind… About settling, down.”

She then kissed him hard on the lips.

Chapter 39

Bérénice was getting ready for lunch with Jack. She was picking out earrings, a necklace, and bracelets for the royal blue sleeveless sheath dress she bought with Jack’s money. She was wearing matching pumps, which would make her nearly as tall as Jack, who was 6 feet 3 inches. Her black hair was up in the same messy ponytail she wore the previous day. Jack had complimented her hair style the day before.

She woke up that morning when her alarm went off at 5:30 am and found Jack missing from her bed. She soon found his note in the bathroom and returned to bed.

She rose at 7:00 am, dressed in a t-shirt and jeans, and retrieved her children from Mrs. Landry’s room. She nursed Amélie, got her children dressed, changed diapers on Patrice and Amélie, and went to the buffet breakfast in the hotel dining room with her children. She ate with her parents, in-laws, her friends, Marie and Louise, and their husbands, and Mrs. Landry. She knew Jack would still be sleeping in his room.

She was placing the last bracelet on her wrist when a knock came to her door.

She opened the door to find Jack, smiling as wide as the hallway. My, God, she thought. He looks so handsome in that suit. The same suit as yesterday, but with a clean shirt and different tie.

As Jack approached her for a hug, he said, “You’re beautiful, Bérénice. Stunning. I love your dress.”

As they held each other, she whispered, “You better like the dress, you paid for it.” She giggled. “Jack, I swear. You are so handsome this morning. Thank you for last night.”

Jack pulled away a little after his hug and looked her in the eye. “Thank you. I enjoyed it. You, know… that’s the first for you and me.” His expression to her turned solemn. “I’m having a hard time concentrating on baseball because of you. And, I think you know why.”

Before Bérénice could respond…

“Uncle Jack!”

Jack smiled as he released Bérénice. He knelt and lifted nearly four year old John into his arms.

“There’s my replacement at first base! John? Have you been minding your manners for Mrs. Landry?”

“Yes. We have been playing games. She knows lots of games. I’m better at them than Patrice.”

“John, that won’t last long. Don’t brag,” Jack chuckled. “She’ll be beating you at the games when you least expect it.”

“Unk ee, Jack!” two year old Patrice chirped, as she was steadying her balance on his pants leg. Bérénice picked up her daughter to see Jack.

“You are so pretty, Patrice. You’ll be beating John at these games before you know it,” Jack replied. “Patrice… Where is Amélie? I need to give her a hug and kiss.”

Patrice wiggled out of her mother’s arms and her mother complied. “Ober dare. Sissy is ober dare.” She ran to the floor crib and pointed inside. “EeMeEe is here,” she chirped.

Jack grinned as he set John down and followed Patrice. He reached into the crib to find a sleeping Amélie and cradled her in his arms. “She’s beautiful,” he sighed. He looked up to Bérénice and smiled. “Beautiful… You, Patrice, and Amélie.”

Bérénice hugged his arm firmly and hummed her approval. “Thank you, Jack. Are you ready for lunch?”

Chapter 40

Jack followed the maître d’ into the dining area with his family following him. He was carrying Patrice and Bérénice was by his side carrying Amélie. His parents, Mrs. Landry, and Bérénice’s parents were with him. A few minutes later, Marie and Louise, Bérénice’s friends, and their husbands joined them. Jack had reserved the tables in advance.

As Jack entered the dining area, some of the players, coaches, and even Bill Ocher noticed their entrance and waved to Jack and his family. They wondered who the beautiful and exotic young woman was. They took note she was nearly as tall as Jack.

Jack made sure Bérénice sat next to him. He thanked everyone for coming to see him play and asked if they were enjoying their time in Arlington. The women had plans to shop in Dallas that day and the men planned to visit Cowboy Stadium and the Texas Motor Speedway north of Fort Worth.

After lunch, Jack spoke up. “Thank you everyone. For being here, and coming to see me. I miss you and everyone in Reims. More so now, because of Robert. I want to thank Marie, Louise, and their families, Mrs. Landry and her husband, for stepping up to be with Bérénice when she needed it the most. As most of you know, Bérénice and I have been close since we were children. I so wish I could be with you, Bérénice; to offer comfort. I am grateful, to everyone here at this table, for giving yourselves to Bérénice when I couldn’t be there for her. I will miss all of you when you leave tomorrow.”

Everyone gave a soft clap and Bérénice hugged his arm. Jack rose and said goodbye to each of them before he had to leave for the ballpark. Mrs. Landry hugged his neck and kissed him on the cheek. “We are watching after Bérénice,” she whispered. “Because of you.”

Jack smiled and thanked her.

As everyone left the dining room, Bérénice, with Amélie in her arms, stopped Jack to speak with him privately.

“I know you are going to be here another two days. Would it be OK with you if I sent the children home with Mama and Daddy? So we could spend some time alone?”

Jack’s heart jumped with joy. “Bérénice, those are the sweetest words I’ve ever heard. Yes… I’ve missed you so much because of Robert. I’ve ached to be with you and to comfort you. Call me or send me a message and tell me your plans.”

Bérénice leaned in to whisper, “May I stay with you?” She smiled and waited for an answer. Jack set Patrice down on the floor, reached into his pocket, and gave Bérénice the electronic key to his room.

“I’ll get another key at the desk,” he said with a wink.

“I’ll have the children tonight,” Bérénice began. “Will you come to our room? We can talk… whisper while they sleep.”

“Absolutely,” Jack said, with a smile. “It takes me about an hour and a half after the game to get back to the hotel. The dining room closes before I get back, so I’m going to IHOP and bring something back to the room. Send me a message after the game if you want me to pick something up for you.”

Jack kissed her quickly on the lips and picked up Patrice. He then followed Bérénice back to her room before he left for the ballpark.

Chapter 41

“Mama, I asked Jack if I could stay another two days. To be with him and talk.”

Amélie Ouellet, Bérénice’s mother, was looking through a dress rack at Neiman Marcus with her daughter and only child.

“Oh?” her mother giggled. “Why am I not surprised? Sweetie… I understand. You need to be with Jack. The two of you lost someone you both loved. It will be good for you and Jack to be together.”

“Thank you, Mama,” Bérénice replied. “I was afraid you would think the worst. Would you mind if…”

Her mother cut her off. “And yes, I will take the children back to Reims while you are with Jack.” She smiled as wide as the dress rack. “The worst, you say. Bérénice… Everyone in Reims knows you and the Caron boys were inseparable. They never gave it another thought, because, everyone knew you loved them both. They expect you to be with Jack. Your father and I expect you to be with Jack. Jack will be good for you, Bérénice. Good for you and your children. Go to him.”

Bérénice began to cry. She looked at her mother, Amélie, who was as tall as herself. Amélie nodded her approval. She placed the dress back on the rack and took her mother in an embrace. They held each other for a minute or two until the tears from each of them subsided.

“Thank you, Mama. I needed to hear that from you.”

Chapter 42

Jack walked into the IHOP expecting to see other players and there were a few there. He sat down, ordered take out, and visited with his teammates. The Royals pulled off a miracle against the Rangers just two hours ago.

In the top of the 7th inning, with the bases loaded, 2 outs, and the Royals behind 6-1, Jack hit a curve ball just over the 1st basemen’s reach and the ball died. It rolled slowly all the way to the first base side stands. The first baseman, second baseman, and the right fielder raced to retrieve the stopped ball. The second baseman reached the ball first and threw a missile to second. Jack had cleared the bases for three runs and slid into second for a double, just missing the tag. The score was now 6-4. The next batter, Joseph Malone, hit a 2-2 count home run into the left field seats, tying the score 6-6.

Both teams went scoreless until the top of the 9th, when the leadoff hitter, 2nd baseman, Clyde Harris; not known for homers; smacked a lead off, first pitch shot barely clearing the fence in left field. The Rangers couldn’t match the run, and the Royals, with 6 unanswered runs, won 7-6.

“Hey, Jack,” his teammate, Wilson Abbott barked. “I saw you at lunch today. Family?”

“Yeah… They drove up to see me play. Some friends were there, too. I invited them 3 weeks ago,” Jack replied.

“Yeah, I saw you, too, Jack,” Mitchell Elliot spoke up. “The woman you were with… She’s hot. Your sister?”

Jack chuckled. “She is hot, Elliot. Not my sister… My sister in… LAW. My brother’s wife.”

Mitchell’s expression suddenly changed. “Oh, shit, Jack. I didn’t mean… I forgot about your brother, man. I’m sorry if…”

Jack cut him off with a shake of his head and a wave of his hand.

“It’s OK… Bérénice and I are trying to move on. We both loved Robert. Forget it, OK?”

“Thanks, man. I feel like an ass. Sorry.”

Chapter 43

Bérénice unlocked and blocked the door open for Jack when he called to say he was on his way up… She didn’t want to wake up the children with a knock on the door.

Jack tip toed in and set the take out meal on the table, unloading the sacks as quietly as he could. Patrice stirred a tiny bit with the rustling of the sacks, but, fell back to sleep.

Jack and Bérénice sat across from each other and whispered as they ate.

“They are so cute, Bérénice. Especially Patrice and Amélie,” Jack offered.

Bérénice smiled at his comment. “They are cute. You’re lucky though, Jack. Patrice and Amélie fell asleep 20 minutes ago. They were playing with each other until Patrice collapsed next to Amélie on the floor. Amélie a minute later. John watched the game on TV and he pointed you out every time you appeared on the screen. He passed out in the 5th inning. He missed your hit in the 7th.”

“What about you, Bérénice?” Jack asked. “How is their mother?”

“I’m doing better, Jack. I still miss Robert, but I miss you, too. You were a welcome relief when you came to Reims in May. It felt like everything would be better. And the money you gave me was a Godsend. Thank you,” she said, with a smile and a tiny tear on her cheek.

Jack reached across the table and took her hand into his. “You want to stay for two more nights. Can we discuss it?”

Bérénice paused and dipped her chin to collect her thoughts.

“I’ve missed you, Jack. Since Robert’s death, a day hasn’t gone by I haven’t thought of you. I have mixed emotions. I have a husband, who I love so much, and I have a brother in law, who I love so much, too. We… you, Robert and me… We have a wonderful relationship with each other. Now that Robert is gone, I need you. I need a shoulder to cry on and to hold you. I need you to hold me, too. It’s… It’s been so hard being alone.”

Jack rose from his chair, knelt, and took Bérénice into his arms. “How’s this?” he mused. Then, he whispered in her ear, “I have missed you, too. You are the reason I invited you and your friends to come here. I so wanted to see and hold you.” Jack paused to gather some courage.

“I have an idea, Bérénice. An idea I would like you to think about. My contract expires at the end of the year. I can’t guarantee I will still be in Kansas City. I was thinking I would temporarily move to Reims so I can be with you and the children. When I sign a new contract, I would like to take you and the children with me. Move to a house near my home in my neighborhood. I invested my $4,000,000 signing bonus and it has nearly doubled in 5 years. I’ve been investing my salary since I was promoted to the majors. I live a modest lifestyle. I have enough set aside, where, I can buy another house. For you.” Jack paused and gathered his thoughts. “I’m interested in being with you, Bérénice. To explore a relationship with you and your children. A relationship beyond our relationship now. I will be patient because I know how much you loved Robert. I will not press you for a decision on this idea.”

Bérénice nodded. She encouraged Jack to get off his knee and stand. She rose from her chair and took Jack into her arms… her arms around his chest, back and shoulders; her head lying on his chest. Jack embraced her in return.

“Jack… We both have mixed emotions because of Robert,” Bérénice said, while still lying her head on his chest. “But, our love for each other existed before Robert died. I know you will never replace Robert and, I don’t want you to replace Robert. I want you to be the Jack I have always known and loved.”

Bérénice lifted her head from Jack’s chest, and looked into his eyes with a loving smile. She tilted her head a little. She leaned up and kissed him. She waited for his approval. Jack kissed her, firmly and readjusted his embrace. Bérénice released him and placed her hands around his neck and head and explored his lips with her tongue. Jack obliged and they gently dueled with their tongues. Bérénice broke their first romantic kiss.

“Ask me, Jack,” she whispered, as she gazed into his brown and sexy eyes. “Ask me to come with you to Kansas City.”

Jack smiled, but, was apprehensive for a moment.

“Are you sure, Bérénice? Are you really sure? It will be a big change in your life. I will be away for days and sometimes weeks at a time.”

Bérénice nodded. “Ask me, Jack. Ask me right now.”

Jack smiled.

“Bérénice… Come with me to Kansas City. You and your children. I need you in my life. I love you and I want to love you more.

She nodded and smiled.

“Yes… Yes, I will come with you. I want to love you more, too.”

Chapter 44

“Jack played well last night. He started a rally.”

Bérénice was putting the final touches of packing for her children so her parents could take them back to Reims.

“Yes, he did, Mama,” she replied. She stood up from her packing and looked at her father and mother. “He stopped by my room last night. He brought some take-out food and we talked. Whispered, really, because of the children.” She paused to gauge their reaction. “His contract expires at the end of the season. He suggested I move with him when he signs a new contract after the baseball season is over. He wants to explore a relationship with me and the children. A family relationship.”

Mr. and Mrs. Ouellet smiled wide with approval.

“I urged him to ask me now. To move there now… to Kansas City.”

Her parents looked at each other and smiled ever wider.

“He asked me to come to Kansas City. And… I said yes.”

Amélie Ouellet set Patrice down on the floor and took her daughter in her arms. “We’re happy for you, Bérénice. This will be good for you and Jack. For your children, too. Love him as much as you loved Robert.”

“Thank you, Mama. I needed your approval. Thank you, Daddy.”

With that, Bérénice followed her parents and children to the lobby and loaded Mr. Ouellet’s Suburban with three children and luggage.

Frank Ouellet took his daughter into his arms before they left. He kissed her on the cheek.

“I will be here early on Wednesday to pick you up. Then, we will make plans together to move you to Kansas City.”
