Isolation

Thane and Ruï.

She finished writing their names in the sand.

The sound of the waves crashing. The silhouette of flying birds above. The smell of salt and sea. It was home.

She could hear his footsteps coming closer till he was right beside her. No doubt looking down at her doodles.

“Even in the sand,” He said calmly, “You write beautifully.”

She smiled and leaned back into him, her back against his legs.

Looking out at the ocean, she asked him if she could have five more minutes. Just to look out at the horizon as the sun began to set.

Lookout and imagine possibilities that would never become reality.

It was across the ocean. Far from the island. That’s where everything was.

A different world. Somewhere she could be a different person. Do different things. Meet different people.

She had asked him before if there was anything out there. She knew there had to be since the ships brought so many things of his.

He said no. He knew five minutes more would give her hope. That was the last thing she needed. There was nothing out there for her to hope for. Especially since she had him.

He was all she would ever need.

“No. It’s time to go.” He held out his hand.

She nodded, averting his eyes.

Taking his hand, she stood up and dusted off the sand from her legs. Her long dress blew in the wind, showing her legs for a moment.

He leaned down and kissed her forehead.

“How do you feel?”

She rolled over and held the sheets close to her. It wasn’t cold, she just needed the comfort.

“..Okay,” She whispered.

He caressed up and down her shoulder, leaving little kisses on her neck where he left love bites. His breath on her skin made her tingle inside.

“Ruï,” He sighed and turn on his back. “You ask me that same question every night I pick you up from the beach and you already know the answer. Why?”

She bit her lip. She didn’t want to cry.

“I keep hoping the answer will change.”

His hand pulled her close to his side. She could feel his cock rising against the bottom of her back. Softly grinding against her, he said, “It won’t. It never will.”

He grabbed her thigh and lifted her leg slightly, lined himself against her cunt before thrusting into her.

She moaned and closed her eyes. No matter how many times she questioned him about leaving, he was able fuck it out of her till his name was the only one she could remember.

It was this power he had, to make her forget everything but him at that moment. The way he touched her, used her pleasure to his advantage.

Although he told her no often, she found herself struggling to say it back. She never needed to.

He found a pace and kept it there. It was rough like it usually was. His other hand found her throat and his fingers gripped her jaw, forcing her head back, and making her look into his eyes.

It was like he could read her thoughts. He was able to answer every question she had before she could ask them. Even with a glance. His shiny emerald eyes stared into her cerulean windows to her soul. Like a vulture circling its next meal. With each gaze, he reminded her of her role. What she meant to him and what he meant to her.

It raised the hairs on her neck. But this was how she always felt. A little fear mixed into their love. It was how he liked it. It was all she knew.

“You know you have to stay here. There’s nothing out there, my love.” He kissed her, feeling her clench around him. The feeling of his lips on hers left her senseless. She didn’t know anything that could make her feel the way he did.

Her toes curled and she wrapped her fingers around his hand on her throat. Nodding, as she returned his affection.

“I..” She panted softly. He smiled. “..I know.”

“I can give you anything you want here.” He let go of her leg and found her clit. Rubbing her with his thumb as she progressed into a climax. “You know this.”

“Th-Thane,” She jerked her hips against him, feeling herself close. “Thane!”

“Promise me, Ruï.” He licked his lips as he pounded between her legs, rubbing faster. “Promise you won’t ask again.”

Her breath got caught in her throat. She frowned slightly when he slowed down, resisting her. Mewling, she nodded quickly and ground against his fingers. “Y-Yes, Thane, please-”

He chuckled and resumed his pace, giving her relief with a firm kiss.

She cried against his lips as she came. Happiness washed over her at the feeling of her cum enveloping his cock as he continued to fuck her.

He pinched her pussy lips together, looking at her white secretion with a gleam in his eyes.

“You are beautiful.” He said. He paused his thrusts to scoop up her cum and brought it to his mouth, cleaning it off. “So beautiful.”

She bit the inside of her cheek. Blinking softly at the sight. She was tired, but he fucked her till he came. Then fucked her till he came again.

Hours later, she remained awake. Her mind a million places at once, yet only in the confines of her head.

She decided to ask him again tomorrow.

Perhaps, he will say yes.

The sound of the gate opening woke her up.

The ships were arriving. Pulling her moon from under the pillow, she kissed it and placed it back.

She quickly got up and put on her socks and a dress. Always orange. The only articles of clothing in her closet.

She quickly washed her face, eager to watch them dock into the factory.

The sound of the housekeeper kept dinging until the voice came through.

“Lunch. Lessons. Exercise. Interlude. Testing.” It chanted.

She ignored the electronic voice as she put on her boots. She was ready to go and didn’t want to miss it.

The housekeeper kept chanting her instructions for the day. An illuminated handprint was outlined in the wall, waiting for Ruï to enable it.

Ruï felt her heart stop when she tried to open the door and realized it was locked. Panic set in.

Shaking her head, she rushed to the keypad on the wall and called him.

He answered almost instantly and the projection of him appeared in the glass wall, showing him in his office with a raised brow as he worked.

“The door, Thane, why is it locked?”

His gaze was on the screen in front of him.

He seemed very unconcerned.

“You have instructions for the day. Start them.”

“I can’t. I-I have to see the ships.” She pleaded.

“What you have to do is what you’re told.”

“But you always let me see the ships, Thane. Why can’t I see them?”

He sighed. This was the only way she knew life was out there somewhere and he wanted to keep it from her. He kept everything from her.

“I said no.”

“Please, Thane! Please- I need-”

“Enough, Ruï.” With that, he ended the call.

She felt her knees give and she sank to the ground. Her heart was beating loud. She was hurt. Being withheld from the simplest pleasure she had was torture.

The housekeeper repeated her instructions once more.

Ruï pressed a hand to the wall, enabling her fingerprint and agreement to complete her instructions.

The housekeeper remarked the words ‘excellent’, ‘will be brought momentarily’ and ‘proceed’.

The sound of the gate closing echoed in her mind.

The walk to do her testing was pretty.

There were large bridge gaps between the thick glass walls of the factory. Trees had grown through the gaps and become part of their structural beauty.

There was a large waterfall with flowers and plants surrounding it. The smell of jasmine and orchids.

He told her he built the factory with her in mind. It was his place of propriety, but he wanted it to be beautiful because she was beautiful.

She stopped and saw a small blue bird fly in, perching on the glass rail. She smiled.

Below the bridge were the labs. She watched as workers in their dark green suits moved around the large and bright room with caution. They looked as silly now as they did when she was four.

The bird flew away. It reminded her to keep walking.

She saw him standing there behind the glass with a worker, a clipboard in hand.

“There you are.” He smiled a terrifying smile.

The worker left them alone and she began undressing.

He moved over to a wall of buttons on the screen. The ground opened and the machine whirred as it came up.

Ruï liked to call it a capsule of comfort. Although he controlled the use of it, it was the one place where there was no space between her and its wall and she found peace in it.

It opened and she got inside.

Laying down, she evened out her breathing until it synchronized with the count of the machine.

Closing her eyes, she felt him loom over her and kiss her forehead.

The capsule closed and she felt the oxygen being suctioned from it. It was hard to breathe for a few seconds till the Mire filtered through.

She could taste it when it touched her. It was metallic and make her breathe hard.

She could hear him from outside, reminding her to keep her breathing as consistent as possible.

The last time she didn’t he told her it cost him a lot and he was very unhappy. She didn’t understand what he meant. He never elaborated.

He told her to think of what made her happy.

So she thought of the beach. The bird. The ocean. The ships. The horizon. The book she kept under her pillow filled with doodles of words she liked. The stuffed moon she had since she came to the island.

Five more minutes. It was how long she had to breathe it in. It was all she asked of him each night. Why couldn’t he give her that?

She gave him what she asked, when and where he asked, but all she wanted was five minutes more.

It angered her. The helplessness she felt. Intrusive thoughts of all the times she had asked him something to he told no.

“Can I say hi to the workers?”

“No.”

“Can I eat with you?”

“No.”

“Can I swim?”

“No.”

“Can I have a friend?”

“No.”

He would say he could give her anything she wanted, but she quickly realized it never went beyond material possessions. Intangible things were out of the question.

Unbeknownst to her, Thane could see every one of her thoughts on his monitor.

His technological advancement was shown in every aspect of his factory. The very continued existence of Ruï herself was his doing.

His engineering capabilities had harnessed her into being his completely. She had never had a single thought that he didn’t know. Her body was riddled with implants and sensors and medications. The moment she laid down in the capsule, her thoughts were transferred into his system.

Right now, his little catalyst’s brain activity was skyrocketing more than usual. She was unhappy. He pressed the bridge between his nose before he turned off the Mire supply and opened the capsule after her mind download was complete. She was very patient. He appreciated it.

He smiled as she slowly sat up. She kept her gaze forward, her back hunched in what seemed to be defeat.

“Get dressed for dinner.” He left the room and handed the clipboard to the worker on his way out.

After dinner, she sat by the ocean again. Just like lunch, she ate the same meals every day. Her fingers in the sand. Writing.

Waiting for him to come.

The sun was setting. He would be here soon.

She finished the last letter of her name and looked out at the horizon.

Far, far out she could see a dark vessel at one of the corners of the island.

She was excited and unsure. What was it?

It submerged before she got the chance to determine its entirety and the sound of his footsteps could be heard.

Turning around, she saw him hold out his hand with a questioning gaze.

She smiled and took it. Deciding she didn’t need five minutes. She felt like something was coming.

Something that would help her go beyond the horizon so that she would never need to ask him for five minutes again.

He was intrigued that she kept her promise of not asking, but he knew he’d have to scan her thoughts as to why.

Might add more chapters.. still figuring out how to do that tho ^^
